So Season 3 comes out next Friday, do I need to watch The Defenders first? I loved Seasons 1 and 2 of DD but haven't bothered with the other Netflix shows.

In terms of Matt's arc, Season 3 of Daredevil picks up where The Defenders left off with him. So, to understand where he's at emotionally and in relation to Karen and Foggy, I'd say yes. |

Episode 1 wasn’t bad. Light on the action but had some good exploration into Murdock and how you respond when a building falls on you. Good start to season 3.

Halfway done. It seems like this season is much more character driven and not as much dastardly plot-driven. After 6 episodes it's mainly 'we have to stop Fisk from doing...something.' It's strangely fast paced without going anywhere. The Bullseye setup is pretty good though, these Netflix series are pretty good at taking rather outlandish characters and grounding them as best they can. We'll see how the second half plays out.

Netflix has cancelled Daredevil. Wish I could say I'm surprised, but it's pretty clear they don't want to promote characters for someone who's soon going to be the competition. It makes sense, I suppose.

This sucks, but yeah, kinda saw the writing on the wall. I'm three episodes into Season 3, though, and it's really been hooking me so far.
