100% based on 6 reviews. www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/daredevil/s01/The reason Daredevil's so enjoyable in its "lack of jokes" domineer is because it feels like a necessary departure from Marvel in order for it to expand its ever growing universe. - Forbes Dark, brooding and violent, the slickly produced series casts the blind hero as Marvel's version of Batman, a masked vigilante as apt to get roughed up himself as pummel the bad guys. - Variety Armed with a cadre of awesome performances and intensely tight arcs that constantly build on the compounding narrative, it's intense, beautiful, and feels surprisingly fresh. - CinemaBlend

Netflix "spoiled" the final suit design. It might be difficult, but if you want it to remain a surprise, don't browse any media websites: Not sure how I feel about it. I'll have to see it in action.

Yeah, I saw that. Really would've preferred to see it in context.

Yeah, same. It's a little annoying they decided to show it on release day. Couldn't have at least waited until the end of the weekend?

I heard that it just got leaked and Marvel just said "fuck it," and put it out proper.

I won't post any spoilers for the time being, but wow! Daredevil is not at all what I expected, and in a good way. I knew the show was rated TV-MA, but didn't think much of it. Arrow is rated TV-MA after all, and while it has violence, it's not all that harsh or shocking. Daredevil has a great deal of serious and graphic violence in it. I'm loving the series so far, but I'm a bit worried that the level of violence is going to affect the number of viewers in a bad way. Anyone expecting something along the lines of Captain America or Iron Man is going to be in for a shock. The format of the series isn't what I figured it would be, either. I was sure it would be similar to the series Law & Order, with half of an episode dealing with the courtroom and the other half being Daredevil dealing out the justice that the system failed to provide due to plea deals, immunity, etc. It's nothing like that, although one of the six episodes I've seen so far does a variation on it. The performances are all solid, as are the scripts and ongoing story arch.

I only have two episodes left and I'm gonna disagree with Wyldstaar . The show kinda sucks. There's only 5 episodes that are actually good: the first two by Drew Goddard, the one where Matt Murdock represents a bad guy in court, the one where the cops are after Daredevil and the one featuring Stick (Matt's mentor). The rest are slow, boring and have no story. The one where Foggy bitches at Matt for 40 minutes is easily the worst one. You can tell this show had a small budget or they didn't manage the money properly because there's episodes where literally nothing happens.

I'm done.
The red costume is whatever. The Ben Affleck one is better.
RANK 1. Cut Man 2. Into the Ring 3. Daredevil 4. Rabbit in a Snowstorm 5. Condemned 6. Stick 7. The Ones We Leave Behind 8. Shadows in the Glass 9. Speak of the Devil 10. In the Blood 11. World on Fire 12. The Path of the Righteous 13. Nelson v Murdock

I hear from a lot of my friends, this isn't a very good show. It has a couple of good episodes, but overall I hear it's no where close to Agents of Shield... Which isn't all that surprising...

I haven't watched season 2 of SHIELD, but Daredevil is WAY better than season 1. That being said... Arrow and The Flash are still the gold standard for present day superhero shows. Daredevil is like a better version of Gotham and Agent Carter. It's a nice effort by Marvel, but they have a long way till they get to the realm of great television.

I think it set the bar pretty damn high for the rest of the Netflix Marvel shows. It was definitely year one Daredevil and the build up was definitely worth it. Showing Matt starting off and actually getting exhausted while fighting was great. The fights scenes were very well done, the acting was great and now I sit and wait for the rest.

I liked it. Some very good fight choreography, some pretty good dialogue, and excellent character development. I liked what they did with Kingpin. I could have done without the kid, though.
I'm not particularly fond of the new suit. I'm fine with the armored look I suppose, so the neck down is okay, but the helmet/mask is pretty meh. Doesn't look quite right. Like a Captain America helmet with "horns". Maybe the horns are my main issue. They look more like ears.

I didn't like the helmet either..still don't. It took me a while to figure out what it was though...the nose. Traditionally, DD's nose isn't covered, and it is with this suit. Looks more like a Batman cowl than Daredevil's mask. If they simplify it a little bit (too many elements...especially around the eyes), and uncover the nose and change the shape around the mouth to resemble a more traditional DD mask, and I think it'll be okay. Sounds funny, I know, but I think it changes the look a lot.

They should have just reused the Ben Affleck suit. Or at least a version of it. Chris Nolan used the rubber suits from the Tim Burton and Joel Schumacher movies. So... I don't know why Marvel ran away from the leather biker jacket. I don't think anyone would have been mad about that.

The nose really doesn't help, but you're spot on:

I'm gonna hold off on this a little while, probably until next month once most of the shows I watch wrap up their respective seasons. And even then, I'm only planning on doing one a week to keep the TV show aspect alive.

I really liked this show. Not getting the hate from Neverending. How many episodes have you seen? The first three are really good and the finale is fun, but everything else is where the show gets into trouble. At least that's my opinion which is far from "hating" the show. I'll definitely be back for season 2. That's more than I can say for Agents of SHIELD.

Finished the series last night, and I'm still impressed. I greatly enjoyed the entire show from beginning to end. Daredevil is by far my favorite of the TV incarnations of the MCU. It's also superior to some of the feature films. Vincent D'Onofrio's portrayal of the Kingpin was fantastic, and I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he eventually appears on the movie side of things. There are a number of loose ends that were not tied up in the finale, presumably because they will be addressed in the other upcoming Netflix series.
