I was at screenrant last night and in the comments section there were a lot of people slagging the above black costume as being boring an unimaginative. Clearly this costume will not last. I'm glad that it appears they are going to be building he character from scratch instead of jumping right into it.

I loved Charlie Cox on Boardwalk Empire, so I'm hopeful for him. As for the costume, well, I think it's obvious what we see will only be a "prototype." Anyway, I'm still looking forward to this show very much.

This will be the first Marvel show that really gets my attention. I tried 'Agents of SHIELD' and it just couldn't hold me, and 'Agent Carter' has even less of my interest.

Or they're going with that costume because of its gritty realism. I read that they are going to switch to the red costume, and that the black is the initial one he starts with. At least he's not in yellow like his first costume in the comics   I always hated the separate mask like in the movie though, it should be more like a head covering horned cowl |

It's on Netflix and they've promised there would be more violence and sex than the ABC shows.

Kevin Feige has stated that the Netflix series also takes place in the MCU . While the movies tell large stories that influence world events, the Netflix series will be more about New York. |

Well, the Kingpin runs a criminal organization responsible for drugs, loan sharks, gambling, extortion and prostitution. He ruins lives on an individual basis, which leads to darker stories. Villains like Loki or Hydra aren't interested in destroying individual peoples lives. They want to rule the world, and the little people are beneath their notice. Someone has to look out for the everyman, and Iron Man is too busy building industrial grade arc reactors and killer robots. |

Yeah, just like Spider-Man. Spidey has had 5 movies. Daredevil is also top-tier Marvel with a long history. He deserves another go on the big screen.
