Going to a concert!

You've got santigold and animal collective dropping entire continents off their touring schedule as they made the schedule more than a year ago and then inflation and supply chain issues rear their heads so they just call it off.

Venues prob won't be too hurt since they can fill those dates almost immediately. Find it somewhat disingenuous of some bands saying they've tried to make it work but can't - when in reality they just didn't plan for a European recession combined with energy crisis essentially wiping out any profits (not their fault but just gimme the truth not this holier than thou shtick about the music industry not helping) - so they cancel the show disappoint fans and come back next year with an adjusted ticket price and probably smaller more logical tour schedule to more than break even.

Not a whole lot coming after this weekends Viagra boys show though. Might look for some goose tickets night of but not holding my breath.

But vb gonna blow the fucking roof off smalls theater - sold out Saturday show in the burgh. Look out.

Might be my last summer of concerts... The wife is taking out the IUD.

And that's without any more local festivals announcing their lineups.

After 30 camping at a festival is dead and buried for me but a city festival with some hotel accomodations (specifically a bed and a shower and maybe a pool) can still get me out of the house. Probably only for a single day and night though.

But if you never have done a festival I would highly recommend the experience, don't pass on any nefarious salesmen though, just talk em down and swallow politely, and shower when you get home, let the experience wash over you.

Don't do Boston calling though that's a fake festival.

Snagged some Les claypool and his flying frog brigade tour tickets. Playing pink Floyd's animals in full at all shows.

First time ever Coachella will stream all six stages all weekend long this weekend.

There's a bitter prob better metal festival in ohio actually. But it's full of absolute neck beard weirdos, and that is the last festival crowd I'd like to be in with sweltering heat and Porto potties.

I think the stagecoach country fest will be streamed next week (if they've got my guy the man from waco I'll be checking it out). Coachella is really pretty shit this year, labrinth, 2manydjs, big wild were fun but bjork wasn't broadcast and was the only show I really wanted to see.

Les Claypools flying frog brigade is Friday in Detroit - gonna be so sick. The setlists have been so awesome, some Beatles songs (lead guitar is John Lennon's kid) buncha diff songs spanning the entirity of Claypools career, with some extreme hitters for the encores.

Saturday is back to the burgh for the arts fest - galactic is playing for free, wouldn't pay for them anymore with the new lead singer, but I'll happily go for a free show.

Very excited. Lcd is a bucket list band for me they have never come to the burgh (obviously) and they still haven't, gotta travel to Columbus for it.
