Don't get me wrong, he's a badass character and he has a really interesting background and storyline. But we get that in spurts, not whole episodes other than his one earlier. I don't think an hour of Mike every week is nearly as effective as an hour of Saul. Sure, watching Mike work for people later (namely Gus) and offing people will be great stuff, but not if that's the routine each week. At least with Saul we never know what goofy predicament he'll find himself in and the even more absurd way that he'll get out of it. I think they went the only option they could; Saul is the main emphasis while Mike's storyline is a very well done Plot B. Mike has been the highlight of the show thus far, but a whole show around him? Wouldn't work.

One episode left. Looking forward to seeing how things work out...or don't work out.
Not sure if anyone mentioned but in case you think you might recognize Hamlin he played Professor Lasky in Saved By The Bell: The College Years.

How many episodes are there? 10 in total. Yeah, this week's episode was really solid. It's really setting things up nicely for Season 2 to really start that transformation towards Breaking Bad. I'm really excited for the finale but sad it's only 10 episodes, I really feel like it just started!

Yeah, the finale was a little underwhelming in some regards. I think for the first season it was very solid overall, but the second season really needs to pack more of a punch, and it likely will. I guess the question is will the second season start us with Saul assembling his office, or do we still work with Jimmy for a few more episodes.

I just watched the last two episodes of the season today. The show has had a pretty good first season.

Season Premier didn't have a lot of action, but it's good to have this show back. Big things are definitely on the horizon. And who didn't love that intro sequence (once again giving us a glimpse into post-Breaking Bad) where he gets locked in the garbage room? This show is only getting stronger with each episode.

I loved the premier. I wish I could take credit for being observant, but when we were watching this last night my BF recognized Ken from Breaking Bad. He's the guy who hit Walt's car and got his car set on fire at the gas station. Today I'll be buying season 1 on blu ray because all the episodes have commentary, so I'll learn about any other fun little nods to BB that I may have missed the first time around.

I didn't notice that either, good catch on his part. I like that when they do Breaking Bad easter eggs it's never so on the nose and gimmicky that it feels forced. I've been so happy that this show stands on its own and is confident to be itself and not try to be Breaking Bad 2.

Another great episode last night. I know that Jimmy is a fuckup, but you still root for him. It's hard to watch him suffer the consequences of his actions. The conversation with Chuck was the most brutal part for me. Despite Jimmy trying to get into his good graces again by taking care of him, Chuck was not going to go easy on him.
Mike's part of the episode was, as always, amazing. Both Mike and Nacho are such intense characters, and it's so much fun to see them on screen together. I feel like Nacho can learn a lot from Mike, and I hope we get to see his character stick around for a while.

From what I was able to watch over the weekend from the first season, I like it. I'll have to find some time to watch the rest of the season. Probably will have to re-watch a few episodes as well.

Hey some of us have an amazing distraction that keeps them from continuing to watch the first season.

Just got all caught up on this show and I'm glad I decided to give it a chance, most the time I try to stay away from spin offs.
A little piece of trivia I found out, Ice Station Zebra the movie Saul and Kim was watching was the name of Sauls holding company he used for tax evasion in Breaking Bad Ice Station Zebra Associates.

Wow, I did not catch any of those easter eggs, this show is so awesome in how subtle it pays homage back to Breaking Bad.
Season has been very good so far. Obviously Mike's storyline has been the highlight and is our first hint at how he hooks up with Gus in the first place (likely they found a common interest in getting revenge on Salamanca) but Jimmy is finally, finally beginning to turn into Saul. I like how they've depicted him being discontent with the stuffy law firm he's at and that he's more comfortable back at his crappy office in the nail salon. Next episode is likely to be a great one.

Really enjoyed the finale. I can't believe another season is in the books, I feel like everything is just getting started and then all of a sudden it's over. So obvious spoilers ahead:
Anyone else certain that the person who left the note on Mike's car is Gus? Is this how they hook up to concoct Salamanca's demise?
Chuck man, every time I wanna feel bad for him he goes and secretly records Jimmy like a total dick. Not cool bro, not cool. By the way, going into this show did anyone think that by the end of season two, still no Saul Goodman? Not me.
I'm assuming that season three will be when he does truly transform, though. Kim will be pissed at him, he will likely face trial, lose his practice/name in the process, etc. Does he get disbarred and then fakes his new identity? Something tells me he doesn't, though he could figure out a way around it. I'm curious if season three is when we move on from these characters and begin accumulating the shady people Saul has at his disposal. I'm thinking season three will be the major turning point for the show, but either way I've been so happy with the first two seasons that I could care less.
