We all like lists and opinions on here, so let's rate the directed films of someone every few days or so.
To usher in the critically reviled "Jupiter Ascending", let's start with Andy and Lana Wachowski.
Filmography: Bound (1996) The Matrix (1999) The Matrix Reloaded (2003) The Matrix Revolutions (2003) Speed Racer (2008) Cloud Atlas (2012) Jupiter Ascending (2015)
My rankings: The Matrix (1999)- 10/10 Bound (1996)- 8/10 The Matrix Reloaded (2003)- 7/10 Cloud Atlas (2012)- 6/10 The Matrix Revolutions (2003)- 5/10 Speed Racer (2008)- 5/10

I haven't seen everything by the Wachowskis, but I'll rank what I can (on the Letterboxd scale).
1. The Matrix: ***** 2. The Matrix Reloaded: **** 3. Bound: ***.5 4. The Matrix Revolutions: **.5 5. Speed Racer: **

Screw the Letterboxd scale, I'm sticking to the 4-star system.
1. Cloud Atlas **** (yeah, that just happened) 2. The Matrix ***1/2 3. The Matrix Reloaded ***1/2 4. The Matrix Revolutions *** 6. Speed Racer *
Haven't seen Jupiter Ascending yet, nor have I seen Bound.

Good stuff guys. Alright, let's change it up to a more interesting filmmaker, Ridley Scott. He has a ton of films he's directed and I've seen less than half of them, but I'm curious on your opinions to see what you think of his films.
Filmography: The Duelists (1977) Alien (1979) Blade Runner (1982) Legend (1985) Someone to Watch Over Me (1987) Black Rain (1989) Thelma & Louise (1991) 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992) White Squall (1996) G.I. Jane (1997) Gladiator (2000) Hannibal (2001) Black Hawk Down (2001) Matchstick Men (2003) Kingdom of Heaven (2005) A Good Year (2006) American Gangster (2007) Body of Lies (2008) Robin Hood (2010) Prometheus (2012) The Counselor (2013) Exodus: Gods and Kings (2014)
Phew, Ridley is a busy man!

My rankings:
Blade Runner (1982)- 10/10 Alien (1979)- 9/10 Thelma & Louise (1991)- 8/10 Gladiator (2000)- 8/10 American Gangster (2007)- 8/10 Prometheus (2012)- 7/10 Black Hawk Down (2001)- 7/10 Legend (1985)- 6/10 Kingdom of Heaven (2005)- 5/10 The Counselor (2013)- 5/10
I need to see "Matchstick Men", that's the most glaring omission on my part.

I can't rank Ridley Scott movies because I don't think I've ever watched a Ridley Scott movie more than once. I'm not "a fan". I like Tony Scott more. I saw it in High School. I don't remember much about it except that it reminded me of Richard Lester's Musketeer movies. Slow and boring. #SorryNotSorry It's visually stunning, but a mess of storytelling. I watched both versions and they're okay. I saw it in High School and fell asleep. It's visually stunning but has a mediocre script. EASILY his best movie and the only one I would call great. I'm not sure if I saw this movie or the other Christopher Columbus movie released at the same time. I saw it at the time, but need to re-watch it. I saw it at the time, but need to re-watch it. My second favorite Ridley Scott movie. A mess. PG Cooper, MovieBuff and me reviewed it on Halloween. Go to the 31 Days of Halloween thread. I think Dracula offered his opinions as well. I need to re-watch it, but if I recall correctly, the movie isn't historically accurate. It's okay. I need to re-watch it. It's surprisingly good. I might rank this at #3. I need to re-watch it. I never saw it. I don't know why. Awful. IanTheCool and I are the only people who like this movie. I would rank it at #4. Awful. I haven't seen it yet.

Damn, I'm impressed. For not being a fan you've seen nearly everything by him. You're wrong about "Alien" and "Blade Runner", but I'm sure others will chime in on that for me.

Are you igniting another Alien/Aliens debate? What is there to debate? Aliens is good. Alien is not.

Are you igniting another Alien/Aliens debate? No, they're both amazing. I was more igniting a throw tomatoes at Neverending debate over Blade Runner and Alien. Alien and Aliens is like Terminator and Terminator 2, they're all fantastic films but work for very different reasons. Do you like the sci-fi/horror/thriller element of the first more, or the action-packed and larger scale of the sequels? I don't think there's a wrong answer, I marvel out how Cameron was able to change the formula for the sequels and make it work brilliantly, TWICE.

And is everyone rating "Kingdom of Heaven" based on the Director's Cut? I'm the only one with a bad score for it, and I've only seen the theatrical so maybe the director's cut is worth viewing after all.
