Yeah, I enjoyed both but like Sno for me The Revenant was far and away superior.

The movies aren't really that similar, one is a talky chamber piece and the other is essentially an action movie.

Batman. Superman's main theme is probably more iconic, but Batman's score is deeper and more interesting. Also, I'd say the Batman score is easily Danny Elfman's best work, whereas John Williams scores for Jaws, Star Wars, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, The Empire Strikes Back, and Raiders of the Lost Ark are all better than his work on Superman.

My 10 year old nephew and I were talking after Black Panther about which Marvel movies are the best. We got down to saying which ones we liked better and he said out of the last two Marvel movies, Thor: Ragnarok and Black Panther, he enjoyed Thor more. It's unfortunate that I'm related to an avowed white supremacist so I thought I would ask my nearest and dearest friends, the online CS! community, to gauge your opinions with a new poll.

After seeing it a second time, I think Black Panther may be my favorite Marvel Studios movie, if only for Michael B. Jordan and Andy Serkis.
Re-watching Ragnarok on home video it pretty much confirmed what I thought in the cinema: beautiful visuals, poor plotting, and humor that was more miss than hit (though "IT'S MUH BIRTHDAAAAAAAY!" will never NOT be funny).
It's not really a contest for me.

Thor: Ragnarok is a lot of fun, but Black Panther has the more compelling story, villain and performances. And it's definitely one of the better MCU films to date.

Black Panther, of course. Thor: Ragnarok is a lot of fun but at the end of the day it's a pretty standard Marvel movie IMO.
