I rewatched Bringing Up Baby yesterday for the first time in 15 or 20 years, it was fine but I wasn't over the moon for it. There are certainly better Cary Grant screwball comedies and Katharine Hepburn's character was a borderline moron, why would anyone fall in love with her after she spends the entire time deliberately ruining Cary Grant's life? Then at the end he just says 'alright fine I give up I'm in love with you.' I dunno, I can see why some people love it but I found myself checking my watch every so often. I watched Aresenic and Old Lace recently and I think that's the better comedy, it's script is tight and flows easier. I owe Philadelphia Story a rewatch and I'll get around to that in the next couple weeks so I'll see how that holds up. IanTheCool reading this: Ah crap I just looked at letterboxd.

I haven't even thought of the Blade movies since college. So sad.

I really love the movie Nebraska. I haven't watched it in a couple years but every time I do I enjoy it more.

Bonfire of the Vanities isn’t a bad movie. I think De Palma is right. If you’re divorced from the source material and the time in which it was made, it’s perfectly fine.
