Kick-Ass > Deadpool > Kick-Ass 2 Jim Carrey alone makes Kick-Ass 2 better. Yeah, but then everything else about it goes and makes it worse again.

I'll admit to liking Kick-Ass 2 back when I saw it in theaters....but time and perspective really hasn't been kind to it.

The Warriors is one of those movies I would have loved if I had watched it when I was 10 rather than 23. I still think it's a cool movie though.

The characters are just so dull and unlikable. The characters are great. It's just that... nothing happens in the movie.

I like The Warriors, it's a fun slice of the '70s. Pure entertainment with some iconic lines and costuming, take it at face value and it's fun.

This coming from a lifelong Durham-ite, too. Although an interesting little Bull Durham-related tidbit I have is that I had lunch with one of the supporting/minor actors in the film once who still lives here in the city, Greg Avallone, and he talked about working on that film and a couple of other ones with Kevin Costner. It was interesting.

Slapshot is a lot funnier and has a more savage sensibility, which I appreciate.

Call me crazy, but John Wick is forgettable and not very good. While I wouldn't call it great or a modern action classic or anything, it's definitely a well-made and very entertaining action film that knows what it is. I've even added it to my Blu Ray collection. Looking forward to the sequel.

Fletch is the one movie Hollywood can't remake. There are no modern equivalents to Chevy Chase. You could remake The Godfather. It would be dumb but you could do it. You could cast Melissa McCarthy and call it The Godmother. It would make more money than Ghostbusters. But you can't do Fletch.

For all the shit Hulk gets, it's the only Hulk movie to even try to psychologically dissect him. MCU Hulk is basically comic relief/musclebound hero.

Did Kevin Smith want to remake fletch? Yeah, it went about as well as his Superman movie.
