There's a mid-credits stinger this week. Avoid Twitter until you've seen this ep. Non-spoiler impressions: the production value is still good, and the acting (particularly Bettany and Olson) is still great. Spoilers: Agnes really isn't a surprise based on everyone's suggestions. I enjoyed the winky song and the semi-cartoony set design. |

I suspected that we were going to get some kind of witch pulling the strings. I thought that Agnes was too obvious, and suspected it would turn out to be the woman who shows up in most of the commercials.
The main clue that I was drawn to is that nobody but Monica ever said that it was Wanda doing everything. When Vision pulled out the guy from work, he didn't say it was Wanda. He just said that, "She did this." and we're left to assume he meant Wanda. Monica assumed it was Wanda because she was already familiar with her. (I have to assume that there are a bunch of videos online made for people like Monica who were Blipped for five years, so that they could be quickly caught up on all they'd missed. Someone needs to make one of those IRL. Get on it, PG Cooper!) |

I think what's going on is a mix of Agnes and Wanda. Agnes might be enhancing something Wanda was trying to but wasn't powerful enough to do. But it will be interesting to see where it goes from there. At any rate, I'm not up to speed on modern sitcoms. Was this one Modern Family? |

The theme song felt more like The Office, which had the same basic mockumentary format, but Modern Family was the mocumentary sitcom about a suburban family so it kind of fits a bit better. The kids were playing with a Nintendo Wii, so that fits around the same time period. |
