I've literally never heard you talk about football before.
The Bears suck this year. Our season is essentially over. We're not going to recover from 3-5 with games against the Packers, two against the Lions, the Saints, and the Cowboys still left. We might squeak out one win across those five games, that gives us a losing record.

We need a new everybody. If I was George McCaskey at the end of the year, I'd fire Ted Phillips (president), I'd fire Emery (GM), I'd fire Trestman, I'd fire Mel Tucker (DC), I'd fire Aaron Kromer (OC), I'd try and trade Cutler, etc.. Total fire sale. The problem though is that the position we're in can't be fixed with money. We need to build through the draft and develop talent. Obtaining players through free agency clearly isn't working out, our defense is one of the worst in the league because of it.
I don't know what the hell we do about Cutler. Who would really take that salary on? The Jets maybe? It's a nightmare in Chicago this morning.
I'm hoping the 49er's and Jets fire their head coaches, maybe we can bring Harbaugh and Rex on as our head coach and defensive coordinator respectively.

I watched the first three quarters before I turned it off, I'd had enough.
As bad as this season has gone, it's disheartening to see what's ahead. With seven games left, I suspect we're going to lose at least four of them (and we'll probably split the Vikings series to give us five). That's a speculative record of 5-11. And I don't even know if we can beat the Buccaneers the way we're playing.

I laughed when I saw my speculation that we were going to finish 5-11 was right. Jesus.
I don't think Peyton choked, he's playing hurt and he just doesn't have it anymore. He had a down second half of the season, and he showed yesterday that he is just past his prime. He's a top ten all-time player, first ballot Hall-of-Famer, he changed the game and how the QB position can be played, and he's an incredible professional, but he is probably not an elite QB at this point anymore.
I'm sure he'll return since he just doesn't seem like the kind of guy who will ever not want to play any longer, but he'll be a much different player going forward if he does come back.
