More sour grapes. Let me get this straight, the refs pull the ball for underinflation at the start of the third, then the Pats proceed to stomp Indy 28-0 in the second half. Sounds about right.

I'm not annoyed at anyone. I'm just annoyed that I watched a 3 hour football game yesterday, enjoyed it immensely, and the legitimacy of that game is now in question until the NFL deigns it a proper victory. It's like having great sex and then the girl calls you and says BTW she's waiting for the results of an STD test she took before you had sex. Everything might be fine but fucked if you aren't worried.

I can see this being a bigger deal if the game had been closer. If they need to be fined, then fine them. But, I hope this doesn't call into question the legitimacy of the win. Under, over, or regularly inflated footballs don't create the difference in that score.

Cue the typical outpouring of media stupidity. Wilbon now saying the Colts should be in.
And the NFL, which has the power to end this now, is saying it won't release its findings until the off-season.
Everyone got spygate wrong, and now we have to deal with this shot for the next two weeks.
This is fucking moronic.

I hate dallas but I think most believe it should have been Dallas and New England because not even Dallas could blow the Green Bay Seahawks game.

I don't know that anybody believes that. The Seahawks played their worst game in the last two years, and still managed to win. You're playing hypotheticals by throwing Dallas in there instead of Green Bay, but what if Seattle had played like they normally do? Then I don't think it would have been close regardless of who they're playing.
It's unfortunate, but Seattle really is just the best team in the NFC again this year, and probably the entire league. Hopefully the Patriots win, but I'm not counting on it.

Arguably. Green Bay gave that game away.

I think to a point, yeah. But they weren't playing well either, they just happened to have the lead. Seattle was turning the ball over left and right, but it's not like the Packers were doing anything with any of those extra series:
Interception #1: field goal Fumble on kickoff: field goal Interception #2: Rodgers threw an interception Interception #3: punt Interception #4: punt
It's a tough, hard fought loss when you can look at one or two mistakes that cost a team the game. But when there are literally 10-12 plays that, if any one of them went differently, would have changed the outcome? Just terrible football. I mean, I was extremely frustrated by the game, I can't even imagine what an actual Packer fan was feeling. As much as I hate Seattle, and as much as even I was cheering for Green Bay, they didn't deserve to win the game. You could argue that Seattle didn't either, but somebody has to.

I'm going to completely disagree with you that Green Bay didn't deserve to win that game. Name a single analyst or commentator that gave them the light of day before Sunday. They all expected Seattle to just waltz right other them on their way to Arizona. So Seattle's defense remembered there was a game going on, but Aaron and Co. game managed well enough to knock them back 16-0 and maintain a lead for 55 minutes of play AND orchestrated a last minute drive to send it into over time. No one-NO ONE- gave Green Bay a snowball's chance in Hell and they almost yanked the rug out from under Seattle. Yeah it fucking hurts. 55 minutes against a proverbial Goliath just to trip on a stone in the last 5 minutes. Green Bay deserved it as much as anyone.

Well I guess I could have been more specific and said I was referring to the offenses not being very good rather than the entire teams. I guess that was implied.

Yeah it fucking hurts. 55 minutes against a proverbial Goliath just to trip on a stone in the last 5 minutes. Green Bay deserved it as much as anyone. Why does that mean they deserved to win? Because they didn't get waltzed over? That's good, they shouldn't have been. This was the NFC championship, I'd like to think it would be a competitive game rather than the blowout we saw in Foxborough. I understand that you wanted them to win, I did too. But what you wrote above is certainly not a reason that they deserved a win. Both defenses played well, Seattle's surged ahead in the final five minutes. So did their offense. So despite the fact that Green Bay completely fell apart and imploded, they deserved a win? I disagree. Now, I will admit that the overtime rules are absolute bullshit and I've been saying for years that both teams should receive at least one attempt to score or tie. It's ridiculous that a game that hard fought came down to a coin toss and one drive. But that still doesn't mean Green Bay deserved the W.

Who deserves to win doesn't have to have direct coorelation to who actually wins.
Green Bay wasn't expected to do anything and they shocked Seattle in overdrive. How is that not earning the possibility of winning the game?

If Seattle doesn't recover that onside kick, which was a hell of a lucky break, would you still say neither team deserved to win?

Deserving to win does not have direct coorelation to the actual winner, I agree. And at no point in time have I actually said that I think the Seahawks deserved to win the game because they did actually win the game.
Agree to disagree.

Green Bay deserved to win because they came in and made a grand show of it when very little was expected.
Seattle deserved to win because they rallied at took advantage when it counted.
So yeah I'll agree to disagree.

As a Jets fan living in San Francisco, this Super Bowl sucks. I have to root for the Seahawks (bleh) because I'd rather those arrogant assholes win another than seeing Bellicheat get another. Whenever he has his hood on he looks so much like Emperor Palpatine.
