I'm assuming they gave him the ultimatum. Leave or be fired, hence his comments about not retiring, just not returning to the Steelers.
No problems here though, the defense needs a face lift.

Pretty much verbatim what I thought. And they promoted from within so I don't think we are going get any drastic changes in terms of style of play. Just hopefully some younger and more culivated talent. Makes me wonder if we are about to see some long time vets go...

I want John Fox pretty badly. Here's hoping our new GM Ryan Pace doesn't screw up his first major decision and let the obvious best coaching candidate walk away.

Denver's knee jerk panic is Chicago's gain.

He went a combined 37-11 the last three years in the regular season, that's a tough decision to make. Obviously Cutler or whoever we're running with next season isn't Manning, and you could argue our entire team isn't Denver (except for Forte, I guess that is the one obvious advantage we have), but I think Fox will be a big get for us and will help push us in the right direction.
Rumor right now is that it's pretty much a done deal, but I won't believe it until it comes out of McCaskey's mouth directly.

So has everybody resigned themselves to a Seahawks/Patriots Super Bowl?
I think the Colts have no chance whatsoever, but I could see the Packers potentially pulling out the W. They just have to contain Russell Wilson.

Wow, here I was ready to accept that this was going to be the worst Super Bowl ever and suddenly the Seahawks pull off a miracle. Best seven or so minutes of football ever!

I was sad to see the Packers knocked out but relieved to see the Patriots demolish the Colts.

I hope the NFL dont suspend Lynch for his shoes for the super bowl just so Pats can win cause Lynch is key to beating pats. But most likely Pats will win or Seattle will win and take NE place as a dynasty.

I agree. Most likely either the Patriots or the Seahawks will win.
