Cat deserves its own 90-minute video essay. What can I say that Lindsay Ellis didn't? She touched on the basics. Cats works as a stage show because it’s interactive. Difficult to capture that on film, especially when the filmmaker is more interested in Oscars than audiences. But you can focus on what she only flirted with: the Nolanization of Hollywood has even extended to a musical about Cats. |
