Huh, maybe I should finally watch this movie.
BTW, I just realized I never got around to complimenting you on your Hitchcock one. He's a director I've always been fascinated by ever since I took a class on him in college. So, I know this is late, but...good work, sir.

You should, it's great! And thank you. That Hitch video was a massive undertaking so I'm glad it was of value.

Can we request videos for you to do? Or can you throw out some topics and we can vote on which one you'll do next? I'm open to requests, though I can't guarantee I'll make videos out of every one. I don't mean that to sound rude or condescending, I just wanna make sure I have something of interest to say. But yeah, I do want to turn things to all of you. Are there any video topics you'd like to see? Neverending has suggested a few, but I suspect they were somewhat in jest. How much has Neverending made you regret asking for requests?

Credit where it's due, his suggestion of a video on Stephen King adaptations timed with Pet Sematary (or I guess It Chapter Two next) is a good one, but I haven't read any of homeboy's books so I can't really make it.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for it. Frayling's biography/study on Leone's work Something to Do with Death was basically the textbook for one the course I was TAing and I referenced it when making my video. It's cool to hear my silly little video prompted some discussion.

Until X-Men #1 came out, I only read a handful of comics. Dirty Pair, Appleseed and Aliens were the only new titles I was reading before that, and none of them came out monthly. I didn't buy any mainstream comics, and the artwork had to be top notch. When X-Men #1 was released, there was so much of a fuss being made over that I decided to take a look. The artwork was fantastic, so I decided to go ahead and pick it up.
It was a slow but steady spiral down the X-Title rabbit hold from there. I began buying X-Men every month. I added Uncanny X-Men soon after, and X-Force as well. A year or two later came The X-Tinction Agenda cross-over storyline between all the X-Titles, and suddenly I was buying them all.

I only have vague memories of most of them. I remember really liking them all at the time, but they didn't stick with me for the most part. I stopped buying them in the late 90's, when the writing went in the toilet. Also, I didn't go back and reread them the way I re-watch movies, and I sold most of my collection in 2004 when I was broke.
I did re-read Mutant Genesis- the first three issue storyline of X-Men a few times, as well as Age of Apocalypse, so they stand out most in my memory of the comics from that era. I seem to recall there being a good Mojo story early in Jim Lee's run that I enjoyed, but I don't remember anything about it.
