Mirror would be a nice addition too. I have a feeling that eventually all of Tarkovsky's work will make its way to a Criterion restoration. More of him and Welles would make me happy. I just watched The Trial for the first time the other day on a not so great transfer, and thought this already exquisite looking film would be so much better with a Criterion touch up. I used to have a DVD copy of The Mirror that was released by Kino Video. It wasn't a bad transfer by any means, just nowhere near a quality blu-ray.

I believe that's what most of his work is released under if not all of it, aside from Criterion of course. I expect it to get the Criterion treatment soon enough, and hopefully The Sacrifice and Nostalghia too.

Still no Bringing Up Baby.... Considering that Armageddon is in the collection, this is a criminal oversight.

IanTheCool SnoBorderZero Dracula PG Cooper PhantomKnight JibbsFYI word on the street is that the Barnes and Noble 50% off sale starts Tuesday July 11th. I have a small list of titles to pick up including a couple new-ish releases. If you guys don't already do this, one trick I do is reserve my selections on the Barnes and Noble website the weekend before. They hold it for you for 3 or 4 days so if you reserve it on Sunday then you don't need to try to beat everyone there when the sale hits on Tuesday. I remember some of us were having trouble picking up The New World when that was first released, hopefully you guys are able to get what you're after.

Yeah, I shit my pants when I saw that. No seriously, it was disgusting. I got Hoop Dreams and Stalker (on a pre-order but it releases tomorrow) on blu-ray from the sale. Wanted more but will wait until Barry Lyndon releases for more Criterions.
