yes, I realize what I just posted is probably only relevant to Wyldstaar and I. If it makes you feel better, I understood what you were talking about as well.

Using humor to sell this movie is the best thing they could have done. So... You mean like the advertisements for "Guardians of the Galaxy"

Nothing super spoilerish, but a lot of new footage in this one. Be the judge if you want to wait.

So 40 years ago his assistant was 10 years old?
But all kidding aside I am getting more excited to see this closer the release date gets.

From what my friends that got to see early screenings it's a lot of fun. I'm really hoping my favorite theater gets there schedule together so I know if I can buy tickets to see it or not next Thursday.

I read one review where he thought it came up empty - but I don't really listen to reviewers - It's nice to have confirmation with good reviews, but I judge for myself. I can usually tell if something is going to grab me before seeing it.

Every one has their own opinions but I've found RT to be pretty accurate for me. There has only been a couple movies that they rated that I didn't agree with. The majority has been almost spot on for me, give or take a few percents.

The RT rating has gone up to 76%, now that a significant number of reviews have been entered. Having watched Ant-Man myself this evening, I'd say that's a fair number. It's okay. Not bad, not great, just okay.
I can honestly say that I completely forgot about the whole Edgar Wright issue once I sat down and watched it. After the fact however, I can't help but feel that if Edgar had stayed on the film, it would have been a superior movie than what we got. I was surprised at how little humor was in it. There was only slightly more humor in Ant-Man than there is in an Iron Man film. It really needed the lightheartedness that Wright brings to his films. I suppose Marvel Studios felt that such a high level of humor would clash with the other films of the MCU, but that compromise resulted in a movie that was unable to live up to it's full potential.

Was there a scene after the credits?
If so what was it?
Supposed to be taking my son to see it tomorrow, I know hes going to be ready to go after sitting there for almost 2 hours.

There is both a mid-credits scene, and a post credits scene. The mid-credits scene is directly related to the events of Ant-Man, and is what most people expect it to be. The post credits scene is clearly a scene taken directly from Captain America: Civil War.

I forgot to mention one of the more unusual cameos in the movie that most probably won't get. Comedian Garret Morris appears in Ant-Man as a cab driver. This is a nod to his days on Saturday Night Live, when he once played Ant-Man in a sketch while Margot Kidder was hosting. I would include a link to the sketch, but don't bother. It's pretty weak.

Hey Guys, we watch the Ant-Man movies and it's great! We like it, but I think it's right choice for me. There's a noticeable lack of nonsensical posts from RedVader on this thread, so scottysair has decided to pick up the slack. Ant-Man is opening in China and Japan this Friday. It will be interesting to see how the movie is received over there. It's hard to predict how western films will be taken in the east.

Ant-Man wound up being released this weekend in China instead of last month due to the Chinese distributor scheduling too many Hollywood movies to be released at the same time. It brought in $43.2 million in it's opening weekend there, pushing the movie's worldwide total past the original Thor. The sequel that was announced last week is clearly deserved. Hopefully, Edgar Wright can be convinced to work on Ant-Man and the Wasp in some capacity.
