I knew it would make a lot of money this weekend, but I don't think anyone predicted it would make this much.

I knew it would make a lot of money this weekend, but I don't think anyone predicted it would make this much. I had my suspicions, but even that underestimated how well it would do. I projected Thursday night, Friday (no school), Saturday and Sunday daytime (Easter) would do gangbuster. But this movie sold out every single showing from the first screening on Wednesday to the last screening on Sunday. It played like a Marvel movie instead of a kids movie.

Final numbers are in. The Flash opened to $55M. That’s not counting Monday which was a holiday in blue states. Pixar’s Elemental is in 2nd with $29.6M. Transformers dropped 66.1% to 4th with $20.6M. Domestic total stands at $101.3M. Doomsday is counting that correctly. Not one. Not two. But three flops currently in theaters. And we haven’t gotten to Indiana Jones yet! Opening this weekend is that Jennifer Lawrence teen sex comedy. Her nude skinny dipping scene has already leaked online. So no reason for SnoBorderZero to watch it. Spiderverse is currently at $279.5M domestically. The Little Mermaid at $253M. Guardians at $344.6M. Oh right. There’s a Fast & Furious movie in theaters as well. That flopped too. $142.4M. Again. These weekend numbers. Not counting Monday.

Wow, that Pixar movie flopped so hard. They’re on a downward spiral. Lightyear flopped too.

It ain't looking good for Indy either. I never thought I would live in a world where a Pixar movie, a Michael Keaton Batman movie and an Indiana Jones movie would all be box office bombs within weeks of each other.

Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning had a 5-day gross (including Tuesday premiere shows) of $80M. Doomsday has been begging for Passion of the Christ 2, well, the right-wing backed child trafficking film Sound of Freedom continues to shock Dracula and PG Cooper at the box office. It grossed $27M in its 2nd weekend, up 37.2%, and now has a domestic total of $85.4M. We are 4 days away from Barbenheimer. I know SnoBorderZero will leave the picket lines to go watch it.

When Doomsday was younger (but still quite old), he was hired to work on Steven Spielberg’s the Big Fucking Giant in the doggie fart cloud department. That movie was a gigantic flop. You know what isn’t? Barbie. It just opened to $155M. At #2 is Chris Nolan’s Oppenheimer with $80.5M. 3rd is Dracula’s favorite movie, Sound of Freedom, with $20.1M. $124.7M total. Tom Cruise’s latest Mission Impossible is 4th with $19.5M. $118.7M total. Next week is Disney’s second attempt at the Haunted Mansion. Good luck.
