I posted the Topps cards at the old thread, but I didn't bother to transfer them here. Oh well.

That is the most carefully posed picture I have ever seen. Down to the knot at her midriff.

The knot looks really fake...
Why would that be necessary?

Jess Beal posed nude right? That was before her tit job. Her tits were big in the infamous restroom sink photo. Unless you're talking about some other, pre 7 Heaven, photo.

Didn't she pose for Gear magazine or something? I've seen her naked... well at least topless.

Batman Forever seemed to hold such promise before I actually saw it. Val Kilmer was at the highest point of his career after his stellar performance in Tombstone. Jim Carey had three big hits in a row. Tommy Lee Jones had been elevated by his role in The Fugitive into A-list status, and Nicole Kidman had finally become more than just Tom Cruise's wife. Joel Schumacher was known as a quality director.
Then I watched it. "Holy rusted metal, Batman!" I didn't think anyone could do a worse Batman movie than Batman Forever, but I would be proven wrong two years later. The horror.. The horror...

I didn't think anyone could do a worse Batman movie than Batman Forever, but I would be proven wrong two years later. The horror.. The horror... LOL. Everyone, and I mean everyone, loved Batman Forever when it was released. It was the 2nd biggest movie of 1995 and Roger Ebert, of all people, said it was the best Batman movie. The "hate" for Batman Forever began after Batman & Robin was released because it's easier to combine the two Schumacher movies into one movie and make him the villain of the franchise.

Maybe everyone of a certain age loved Batman Forever upon it's initial release, but not absolutely all moviegoers. Didn't Ebert give a thumbs up to the Phantom Menace as well? As for being the #2 movie of 1995, so what? Tf4 was the big movie worldwide last year, and it sucked. Maybe it was just me. I was often the lone holdout among my friends when it came to movies, even as a kid.

I was often the lone holdout among my friends. I don't believe you. More than once you've said that you watch every superhero movie and TV show to support the genre. This was 1995. Superhero movies were very rare, and here was a big budget Batman movie with mainstream success. So I highly doubt you were the one person saying that the movie sucked.

How hard is it to think a movie is lame? This isn't taking a stand in favor of civil rights in Mississippi, 1965. It's just a lousy movie. If I'd said the same thing about Superman IV, you wouldn't have thought twice about it, regardless of my overall support of comics to film.
I worked in a comics store for five years, 1999 to 2003. Even in the beginning of the comics to film days, there was never a shortage of fanboys around who hated what was done to the X-Men or Spidey on the silver screen. Nerd rage knows no bounds.

If I'd said the same thing about Superman IV, you wouldn't have thought twice about it. Because Superman IV was a contractual throwaway movie and that's not something fanboys would support. Although in this case you're right about the age thing. Kids didn't hate the movie. Yeah. I complained about X-Men and laughed at the "organics sucks" movement when Spider-Man was released. But I wouldn't call any of that rage. It was just shit talking. Everyone was excited when these movies were first released. We take the genre for granted now, but in the early days it was mind blowing that all these superhero movies were being made.

The Bat-nips have had their moment in the sun. It's time to give credit where credit's due to the previously under-appreciated Bat-bulge.

I watched Batman & Robin last week with a commentary track from Kevin Smith's Fatman on Batman podcast. He made an awful movie bearable, and even kinda fun. The only way to watch this POS is to make fun of it MST3K style.
