My mentality after seeing the Man of Steel stink-fest. Media: 'They're making another Superman movie.' Doomsday: 'Eh.' 'And it's going to be Superman vs. Batman.' 'Nope.' 'It's a set-up for Justice League.' 'Nope.' 'And the new Batman is going to be....Ben Affleck!' 'Nope.' 'But don't worry, Lex Luthor is going to be....Jesse Eisenberg.' 'Nope.' 'And Wonder Woman is going to be in it.' 'Nope.' 'But now one of the villains is going to be Doomsday.' 'Nope.' Like I said, not one thing clicked with me or intrigued me. Everything sounds like a really bad idea. I'll stick with Captain America 3. Ben Affleck as Batman seems to be pretty good.

I'm also more intrigued with Batfleck... If that trailer had anything I actually like its Batman.
I'm hoping to stay optimistic... But its dwindling.

Also, if they really want to do Doomsday right they should make a Death of Superman trilogy, not shoehorn him into another already stacked movie. Warner Bros. almost made that movie 20 years ago. It was called Superman Lives, it starred Nicolas Cage, and was directed by Tim Burton. Courtney Cox was cast as Lois Lane, which she would have nailed. Chris Rock, yes Chris Rock, was cast as Jimmy Olsen. And I think Tim Allen was considered for Lex Luthor at some point. ALSO, Michael Keaton's Batman was gonna make an appearance. The budget skyrocketed and Warner Bros pulled the plug. They made Lethal Weapon 4 instead. Fans believe the dodged a bullet, but I disagree. Flawed or not, but a Tim Burton movie starring Nicolas Cage would have been a HUGE blockbuster in the late 1990's. That movie would have changed the whole history of superhero movies. We might have gotten X-Men a bit sooner, maybe with or without Bryan Singer. Spider-Man would have definitely been made by James Cameron. The Hulk would have been released a lot sooner, probably without Ang Lee. Tom Cruise would have probably ended up being Iron Man. MAYBE there we dodged a bullet cause Robert Downey Jr is awesome. Still... it would have been interesting to see an alternate history of these movies, with DC and not Marvel, leading the way. And Tim Burton would have been the architect of all this shit. Can you imagine?

I still consider him to be the architect in a way if not one of the 'grandfathers.' I knew of Superman Lives but was unaware it was a Doomsday storyline, I guess the title gives it away. At any rate, a Doomsday story would take at least two or three movies and I have all the faith in the world that it would be effed up.

I still consider him to be the architect in a way Yeah. Richard Donner, Tim Burton, Bryan Singer to an extent, and Sam Raimi really created the template for everything and their influence is still being felt. But a huge Superman movie in 1998 would have really changed the course of superhero history. That backlash from Batman & Robin would have never been felt. DC would have never gotten left behind. Marvel would have been forced to do some things differently. It really would have been a game changer. And that movie wasn't gonna flop at the box office. If you do the research, it was gonna be a huge action movie like Man of Steel. Audiences would have loved it. Fanboys would have definitely bitched about it because Burton did have radical ideas, but it would have delivered the spectacle that audiences expected.

What kind of ruins the trailer is the editing and the corny music.

Everything looks so dark.
I wish they would have went with Gravitas Luthor instead of goofy Luthor. Gene Hackman was a big reason the Superman movies sucked so much.
So Doomsday is interesting, but he is how they are going to turn away from the Versus storyline and have the heroes team up instead.

Ben Affleck is pretty amazing looking and his representation from just a little bit of what the trailer has shown, gives me hope he will do justice to Batman.
Outside of that... Meh...

I am sure this and Cap 3 will duke it out over which is the better comic book movie but I just have the feeling they could cancel out the other and X-Men Apocolypse Really be the better comic book movie. But then again Days Of The Future Past in my view except for a a few scenes was not all as great as the trailer.

Well what i mean is Civil War and BVS may make more money but there little rivalry could make the movies average at best and X-Men could be overall better movie and just may not make as much money. Transformers movies make big coin but they are hated.

I can tell you Apocalypse and Civil War will be a lot better of a film then BvS.
Zack Snyder doesn't know how to make a good film to save his life.
The only reason "Man of Steel" was some what decent is because Nolan help write and produce... As for this Snyder came up with the story mostly himself... Not good signs... This is will be action garbage...

I still feel they rushed this to keep Nolan out, which is bad form because Nolan would have given us an amazing Lex Luthor. Batfleck is seriously surprising me so far from what I've seen. What they did to Luthor...he's not suppose to be a lighter version of the Joker. I'll see it, but probably not till after Civil War.

I don't think Chris Nolan was ever interested in working on this film. He would have preferred an actual Superman II.

Which is why they rushed to get this made so they can catch up with Marvel's Cinematic Universe instead of letting Nolan produce and help tell a Superman story involving Lex that would eventually introduce the DCCU. This is where I think DC and WB went wrong, instead of rushing to produce everything they should have done a steady intro.
Last time they sped everything up we got the horrible Catwoman movie.
