SnoBorderZero frankytLeBron is a very inconsistent player. One day he's a pushover and another day he's the new Michael Jordan. You can't rely on defense to beat LeBron. You have to focus on offense. If you can make 100 points before LeBron, you're gonna win the game. And this is not bullshit. Go back to those Miami Heat finals. In the 2011 Finals, the first four games were close games. But in Games 5 and 6, the Mavericks scored 100 points and left the Heat trailing behind. And when they played the Spurs back-to-back, the Spurs always beat the Heat with over 100 points. There's something psychologically wrong with LeBron James. As soon as the opposing team gets 100 points, he forgets how to play basketball. If Golden State or Memphis can score 100 points against LeBron, the championship is theirs. Otherwise, don't count on it. Although, in this case, hitting his head on a camera ruined the game for him. But then again... that seems to be the recurring theme of this series. He has gotten tripped, hit in the nose and now smacks his head on a camera.

I mean I could quote you from the first page on this thread... still think Lebron is a "really bad player"? LeBron wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes in the NBA of the 80's and 90's. Haven't these Finals been evidence of that? He's playing against a semi-aggressive Warriors and has already been tripped, hit in the nose and smacked his head on a camera. Can you imagine LeBron playing against the championship Pistons from 1989 and 1990? He would have landed in the hospital. The only reason LeBron has been to the NBA Finals for 5 years in a row is because the East Coast is in the worst era of its history. He only made the Finals once in the 2000's, when things were more competitive, and got laughed off the court by the Spurs. And in the Finals of this decade, he was awful in 2011 and the Spurs made a fool of him again in 2014. So yes, I stick to what I said on page one. He's no Magic Johnson or Larry Bird or Michael Jordan or even Kobe Bryant.

Although the list is slightly outdated, the NBA already named the best teams of all-time: 1964-65 Boston Celtics 1966-67 Philadelphia 76ers 1969-70 New York Knicks 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers 1982-83 Philadelphia 76ers 1985-86 Boston Celtics 1986-87 Los Angeles Lakers 1988-89 Detroit Pistons 1991-92 Chicago Bulls 1995-96 Chicago Bulls All they're missing from the list is the 1999-2000 Los Angeles Lakers, 2003-04 Detroit Pistons and 2004-05 San Antonio Spurs. I wouldn't put LeBron or the Warriors anywhere near this list. I would consider the 2011-12 Miami Heat but the East Coast is a joke and that wasn't a good year for the West. But if it makes you happy I will consider it. SnoBorderZero , do you have a dog in this fight?

SnoBorderZero frankytThe Warriors have raw talent, which can give them an advantage in certain situations, but they don't know how to play smart basketball. LeBron is gonna win his 3rd championship. The ONLY way the Warriors can win is if Cleveland fucks up. Otherwise, don't even waste your time rooting for the Warriors. This series is over. Can you realize how much of a knee jerk espn reactionary you are now?

Yeah, he scored 40 points last night but that's because the other players aren't doing much. LeBron isn't playing as aggressively as he was in the first 3 games. And the Warriors aren't playing great either. They missed a shitload of free throws last night and the refs were pissed off at whats-his-face. These are two above-average teams competing against each other. Whoever wins is the one that fucked up the least.

So the warriors have nothing to do with the game? When Kerr switched to a small lineup it had nothing to do with the final score? Iggy is entering the MVP race for this series just for the past two games.
Lebron can't carry this team to a championship when like 30+ million is sitting on the bench.

So the warriors have nothing to do with the game? They play aggressively and know how to respond to everything Cleveland does, but they also take too many risks and make too many mistakes. A great team could wipe them off the floor just based on all the errors they make. They're the equivalent of the 90's Pacers team. I'll never forget the 2000 Finals between the Pacers and the Lakers. Phil Jackson already had experience against that Pacers team in the 1998 Playoffs and he quickly realized that Larry Bird was using the same exact playbook and used that against them. That's smart basketball vs dumb basketball. The Warriors and Steve Kerr don't understand that. They're lucky that LeBron is a pushover half the time and that Cleveland team is mostly mediocre.

Advanced stats say the 3 pointer is here to stay. And the Warriors were/are the best team we have seen in the league since the early 90s. Lebrons teams were 2/3 worst supporting casts in finals history (jordan had 2/3 best, just for comparisons sake, only one worse than the Cavs finals teams are the Knicks from 99). Lebron had a 62% usage rate in the finals, most ever. Averaged the most points, assists, and rebounds for both teams, the first time that has ever happened. No one would say Lebron was the reason the Cavs lost this series (except idiots, but alas they exist).
11 MVP finals voters (only 11?) 4 votes for Bron, the rest for Iggy, 0 for Curry.
Warriors beat Lebron. The Cavs might as well have not shown up.
Huge offseason for Cleveland.

That's the reason why Curry didn't win MVP. He's the reason they won 4 games but he's also the reason they lost 2 games. The Warriors should have sweeped Cleveland - like the Spurs did in 2007 - but all those wild 3's and missed free throws and turnovers cost them 2 games and lots of headaches. As for LeBron, stat or no stat, he cooled down after smacking his head on the camera. He wasn't aggressive in games 4 through 6.
