I agree that the Pistons-Spurs series was excellent, and it featured a rarity of two teams that played as a TEAM (what a concept!) as opposed to two superstars and some role players duking it out. I think this will be a fun series, even if the Warriors win it somewhat handily. This is a better finals match-up than the other outcomes. I'm a Rockets fan, but no one wanted to see Rockets-Hawks, no one.

I'm a Rockets fan, but no one wanted to see Rockets-Hawks, no one. I was hoping for Bulls vs Clippers but both teams aren't championship worthy yet. And I don't know what the fuck happened to the Pacers. Those fuckers should have made it to the Playoffs. I bet LeBron wouldn't have been able to beat them this time. Warriors vs Pacers might have been more interesting. Maybe next year. By the way... Fun fact. Before the Warriors were in Oakland, they were in Philadelphia, and they were the first team to win a basketball championship in 1947. And the last time the Golden State Warriors won an NBA Championship was in 1975, 40 years ago. So if they win, congrats to your hometown. This is a great way to celebrate that anniversary.

Well that would be cool for the city, but it's not my hometown, I just live there now because I went to school out here and found production/editing work after college. But yeah, people often don't even realize the Warriors have 3 titles because it's been so long, and I agree that it would be pretty neat to see them win. I'd rather watch Cleveland continue in it's sports misery, it's just too funny for the rest of us for it to end.

People often don't even realize the Warriors have 3 titles because it's been so long. Yeah, it's like the Knicks. I have no ill will for Cleveland. My family set roots in Philadelphia when they came to America in the 80's, and aside from Dr. J and Iverson the 76ers have been a joke. I know how Cleveland feels. I just don't want LeBron to win. I rooted for the Miami Heat because of Dwyane Wade who might fucking retire this summer. That dude deserved every ring he got. He was supposed to be the next Kobe but treated his body like shit. That 2006 team with Shaq should have gone the distance. That's what pisses me off about D-Rose. He's Wade all over again. The Chicago Bulls are my childhood team. I wanna see them be great again but they're putting all their eggs in the D-Rose basket. He's too injury prone. They need someone else. I'm not saying kick to D-Rose to the side. He just can't be the star of the team. He needs a Shaq or a LeBron.

I don't dislike Cleveland, but I don't really like LeBron and it's always fun to laugh at the Indians and Browns.
Yeah Wade really hasn't been able to hold up anymore, the constant driving to the lane eventually wore him down, he can't do that possession after possession like LeBron can. I'm still amazed that the Heat even without Bosh couldn't even make the playoffs, especially with Whiteside exploding onto the scene and acquiring Dragic. They'll bounce back next year, but it's sad they couldn't even crack the 8th seed. Yeah, Rose should honestly restructure his contract, which will never happen. Plus, they fired Thibs which is another dumb move by Chicago management. They're way too frugal to be running the Bulls, one of the most lucrative sports franchises in the country.

I'm not a huge baseball guy - which is a betrayal to my people in the Caribbean - but I grew up loving Gary Sheffield. I used to imitate his batting style when I played at school. The highlight for me of that series was when he jumped into the audience and caught the baseball. I think the Heat are over for now. Pat Riley will figure something out. The guy has Mourning & Hardaway, Wade & Shaq and "The Big 3." He'll bring the team back but it'll probably take a few years. The Pacers are the ones that need to get their shit together for next season. If anyone can beat LeBron in the Playoffs it's them.

Gary Sheffield was awesome, I loved when he was on the Yankees. I'll never forget one time against the Red Sox he leaned over and caught a ball somewhat in the stands and a moron Red Sox fan tried to hit him. Sheffield turns to him and hits him good. That was great.
The Heat can definitely bounce back next year, just look at Whiteside's production. Bosh had a great season until his horrible heart condition, and Dragic should fit nicely there. They'll be a 5 seed next year at worst barring another horrible injury, which isn't a stretch but still.
Pacers can, but they were horrible this season. Yeah they had injuries, but so does every team, and the Pacers played with no heart all season. If you struggle against the east, you're not good enough to beat anyone. Pacers need to prove something next season before I can say they can stop LeBron, because they've fallen off hard considering where they were a few seasons ago, they were a laughingstock last time they were in the playoffs.

That was great. That sounds like classic Sheffield. I didn't really watch much of him with the Yankees. I just watched the Padres and Marlins. I lost interest when he went to the Dodgers. Talk about a shit team. Time will tell. Were they? They went to the Conference Finals last year and the year before. They almost beat the Heat in 2013.

Sheffield was the man, that bat wiggle he did is awesome and pretty impressive considering how quickly he was able to whip the bat around despite all that wiggling. (That's what she said)
Yeah they were, Hibbert and Co. played awful in a lot of those games and even had a close call with the Hawks (2 years ago Hawks, MEDIOCRE AS HELL HAWKS) before being easily dispatched by the Heat. Everyone was laughing at how horribly they played in the series, namely Hibbert who had what looked like a breakthrough in the prior year's postseason. If they weren't in the east they would've been swept out of the first round, they were so disappointing.

Definitely agree there, that's what made their "run" the next year so pathetic and disappointing to watch.

It will be a miracle if the Warriors win tonight. Wasting time trying to make 3-pointers. Missing free throws. A million turn overs.

The Warriors have no one to blame but themselves. They were horrible for most of the game. And the Cavaliers weren't good either. Considering how bad the Warriors were tonight, there was no reason to win by only 2 points in overtime.
This was an exciting game - no doubt about it - but it was super amateur and sloppy. Neither teams deserve to call themselves champions based on tonight's game.
The NBA really need to get their shit together next season.

Eh, it's just 1 game. I picked Warriors in 5 so I can still be right, Warriors will come back in a big way Game 3. No way Curry shoots that poorly any other game this series, he was just really off.

He needs to play smart. He lost the game for the Warriors trying to make a million 3-pointers. He's not Reggie Miller. He needs to accept that and make simple and aggressive 2-pointers.

Well I think more often than not Curry is going to knock those shots down, just look at the FG % he's had throughout the playoffs, he's been excellent. Cavaliers got lucky on an off-night for the Warriors and LeBron having a monster night. LeBron is going to keep playing really well it seems, but no way the Warriors shoot that poorly any other game this series. I still say it's done in 5, though maybe Cleveland can nab a game at home and make the series interesting. It's been an entertaining first two games, so hopefully it just gets better.

LeBron played better in Game 1. Although it's funny how he kept getting smacked around. They hit him in the nose. They tripped him. The Ref's were being assholes to him.

SnoBorderZero frankytThe Warriors have raw talent, which can give them an advantage in certain situations, but they don't know how to play smart basketball. LeBron is gonna win his 3rd championship. The ONLY way the Warriors can win is if Cleveland fucks up. Otherwise, don't even waste your time rooting for the Warriors. This series is over.

Series is over? Come on, not even. The Warriors will make adjustments and take Game 4, count on it. LeBron is playing like LeBron, but the Warriors are mostly shooting themselves in the foot with poor shot selection and sloppy ball handling. This series is definitely not over.

Yea I don't think this series is over. All these games have been close with Cleveland leading late but blowing leads, I expect this trend to continue. Still a series.

The last two games have been Golden State fucking up for 3 quarters, catching up in the 4th quarter and then missing a million 3-pointers to allow Cleveland the win. If Golden State stops with the 3-pointers, stops with the turn overs and stops fouling, then MAYBE there's still a series. Otherwise, Cleveland will wrap things up in Game 5.
