No worries.

But I do remember Chris Tucker being annoying as fuck in it. Those memories will not be challenged.

And this was around the time I was kind of obsessed with the first two Rush Hours, among other various buddy action comedies. So me at that time saying Chris Tucker sucked in a movie really says something about that movie.

Just finished Akira. I've said before I don't like anime, I've tried and nothing really stuck with me at all but Akira is pretty sweet. There are a lot of things that made me scratch my head after watching it that I assume are fleshed out a little more in the manga but there's enough there to go off. I mean the first shot is Tokyo essentially being nuked, what a way to start.

Crazy that the Manga didn't end until a few years after.
I'm assuming it didn't live up to the movie's ending.

I watched Videodrome last night. It's safe to say that David Cronenberg and I just don't see eye to eye.

Just finished Double Life of Veronique. Yeeeeeah, this one is sitting very strangely, not quite sure what my reaction is to it just yet but would I have voted it into a top 100? Eh, probably not.

I wasn't big on at the first time but rewatched for this list and it went up a lot. Might not have made my top 100 either but it's far from my bottom section.

I'm just happy I managed to get that one on the list. Did not think I'd be able to pull that one off.

Who else voted for it? Sno? If something pretentious and foreign got in, you bet I had something to do with it. Also I think that movie and the director in general are brilliant.

You and Drac and I think possibly Donny working to get Fanny and Alexander in is God's work. I was amazed by how early it entered too.

It's a long movie which might scare people off, but once they sit down and watch it I've found most people to really enjoy it. In fact it's one of the few movies that I argue for the longer version over the theatrical, because the added emphasis on the ghosts adds so much to an already great film. Once the Bishop comes into play as well I think viewers really start to react more emotionally to the film. He's one of the great villains of cinema. It's sort of funny that a movie that's largely a summation of Bergman's career is also a good introduction to his work, but I think that's definitely the case with Fanny and Alexander.
