I can't remember whether it was the Batman Forever soundtrack or Smash by The Offspring but one of those was the very first CD I ever bought. They were both 1995 so I can't remember which came first but for the sake of this thread lets say it was Batman Forever. Man that thing had some people on it, U2, Offspring, Mazzy Star, Flaming Lips, Nick Cave, I didn't even know who any of them were in 1995.

Funny that both of our first CD’s were soundtracks to Jim Carrey movies.

BTW this was the first time they ever gave out that award so this was a real "Jethro Tull wins the first metal Grammy" moment for them. PG Cooper can tell you exactly how happy that community was about that choice. Parent’s Don’t Understand won the first rap Grammy. Only fair that PG Cooper suffer too.
