Alright, so that'll do it for this round of voting. And we have our next three movies:
Inception - 7 City of God - 7 Children of Men - 6
So, here's what we're gonna do. If none of your movies made it in yet, they're going to stay as voting options unless you specify otherwise, in the interest of keeping this moving along. Meanwhile, Dracula, PG Cooper and I will each pick one new movie to add to the nominee list since each of the new entries were one of ours.
Again, if you want to change your nominees at all, speak now.
I'll go ahead and put up Birdman as my next choice.

Suggestion: The nomination rounds and the voting rounds are feeling a tad redundant, maybe we could make things a little more zippy by assuming everyone's nominations that don't get through will carry over to the next round, then quick having the people whose nominations did get through pick replacements and then move on. Then if someone does want to switch things up they can just make that known during a voting round or some other time. I like that.
Any objections to that, guys?
Also, I'm considering finding a way to take the eventual list and create another tournament out of it, to see what we choose as the best of the best.
I think the issue I'm finding is that I'm looking at this list and I can vote for most of them, and I'd imagine they'll all get on the list anyways, so it feels like we are just spinning wheels.
I wonder if you just take 100 nominations and then go through a couple at a time to see what stays and what goes. Then we can focus it more?

How about this: we currently have 7 movies. Once we get 3 more to get up to 10, everyone can each post 10 movies (I think there are 9 of us who are regularly participating here anyway, so that'll give us 90 movies) they'd like to see go on the list. From there, we can maybe go through each person's list of 10 to see how many get on in the next rounds and keep cycling through until we get to 100?

Alright, so after much, MUCH trial and error/back-and-forth on what form exactly this thread should take, I think I finally have it.
This next voting round is going to be the last regular voting round, and I'm going to increase the voting number to 4 and the top 3 get on. That'll give us our first ten movies.
Here's how it's going to work after that: there are 9 of us regularly participating here, so all 9 of us are going to each post lists of ten movies we'd like to see make it on the list. Then, we're going to take each individual list and vote on the movies selected on it in a Keep/Cut, For/Against fashion. I think in an effort to avoid duplicates, people will post their lists one at a time. We will then cycle through every person's list in this fashion until we have voted in the remaining 90 movies.
Thoughts? Concerns? Ideas? Suggestions? Criticisms?

Will be reaching out to people in groups of two via PM's to submit their lists of ten, FYI.

I'm not so into that idea. Like, whatever someone's eleventh favorite movie of the decade could end up never even competing under that system and it could make it harder for slightly unconventional film choices to emerge. In general we could really be stuck with some stuff for a while.

Also, new poll/voting round is up. Vote for 4 this time.
