Let's settle this once and for all: DC vs. Marvel Tournament

THE FINAL VOTE:
Green Lantern
Both are worthless, nothing movies.  If I prefer one over the other, it's Green Lantern by the skin of its teeth.  Iron Man 2 juggles a lot of concepts that by themselves may have made for an interesting movie, but is so lost in where it wants to go that winds up standing in place.  While technically it's both worse and far more frustrating than Iron Man 2, Green Lantern is more interesting to me in that the lore of Green Lantern is more interesting than anything Iron Man 2 accomplishes, even if the movie botches going forward full throttle with it.  But that small glimpse of where a Green Lantern movie could go makes it a more engaging watch than Iron Man 2's hiccuping attempt at character development.

Both Green Lantern and Iron Man stare at each other exasperated.  Finally Lantern sighs and says, "Fuck this, I forfeit.  Maybe that Deadpool franchise is still on the table." and leaves.  But a win is a win and Iron Man closes the gap even further for Marvel.

Story:  Eight years after the death of Harvey Dent and the last appearance of Batman, Commissioner James Gordon uses Dent's public image as a martyr to unite Gotham City against organized crime. But with Batman out of practice and Bane at the top of his game, Batman is left crippled. I cannot stand TDKR.  It was the first movie I'd been tempted to walk out on since Alien 3.  And, like Alien 3, I regretted not walking out by the time the movie finally ended.  More David Goyer shite.

Dark Knight Rises is trash. Thor is at least okay.

Man of Steel is underrated.
