Everyone and their mother has a tournament now. Here's mine, so fuck yours.
DC vs. Marvel is an age old debate from comic books to cartoons to movies which begat the great cinematic universe war which Marvel is definitely winning and if you think DC is winning...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA loser.
But let's go back to the beginning. Let's take a look on all their films and pit them against each other for fun. Matches will be uneven, sometimes hilariously one sided, and often unfair and no film will get a second chance. THAT'S THE BEAUTY OF IT! Each film will get a chance to give their company a point until I run out of DC movies (because Marvel is way ahead of them) and to give each company its maximum potential, imprint titles will be in play too. That means DC will get heavy hitters like Road to Perdition and A History of Violence and also toss in the Red series, while Marvel will have access to Men in Black, Kick-Ass, and Kingsman. Also, DC will be able to play the Lego movies, because Batman is a main character in them.
Which comic company will come out on top? Will Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman conquer Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America?
IN THIS CORNER:
Superheroes: George Reeves as Clark Kent/Superman
Supervillains: N/A
Civilians: Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane, Jeff Corey as Luke Benson
Run Time: 59 Minutes
Director: Lee Sholem (Catalina Caper, Doomsday Machine)
Writer: Richard Fielding
Music: Darell Calker (Voodoo Woman), Walter Greene (Tarzan, The New 3 Stooges)
Cinematography: Clarke Ramsey
Tomatometer: N/A (two reviews, both negative)
IMDB: 5.7
Story: The original feature length pilot to the Adventures of Superman TV series, a pair of underground dwellers known as Mole Men curiously explore the surface after an oil mine drills into their home. While investigating the oil well, reporters Clark Kent and Lois Lane discover a mob brewing to chase the Mole Men. Believing the people from below to be benevolent, Clark switches to his alter ego Superman to try and quell the tense civilians and return the mysterious creatures to their home. Was eventually split into a two-part episode called "The Unknown People" at the end of the first season of Adventures of Superman.
Pros: Quaint 1950's production with solid morality tale for children to take away.
Cons: Cheap as fuck without even good shots of Superman flying.
AND IN THIS CORNER
Superheroes: Ed Gale (suit) and Chip Zien (voice) as Howard
Supervillains: Jeffery Jones as Dr. Walter Jenning
Civilians: Lea Thompson as Beverly Switzler, Tim Robbins as Phil Blumburtt
Run Time: 1 Hour 51 Minutes
Director: Willard Huyck (Messiah of Evil)
Writers: Willard Huyck, Gloria Katz
Music: John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Out of Africa, Goldfinger), Sylvester Levay (Hot Shots!, Cobra)

Tomatometer: 15%
IMDB: 4.7
Razzies Won: Worst Picture (Tied with Under the Cherry Moon), Worst Screenplay, Worst New Star - Six guys and gals in a duck suit, Worst Visual Effects
Razzies Nominated: Worst Supporting Actor - Tim Robbins, Worst Director - Willard Huyck, Worst Original Song - "Howard the Duck"
Story: A freak accident sweeps an alien duck named Howard from his homeworld onto Earth, where he bonds with upcoming musician Beverly and they seek out answers as to how to get Howard back to his planet.
Pros: Undoubtedly George Lucas's masterpiece. I can't think of another movie that he has made that is half as good as this.
Cons: Not enough duck boobs.
FIGHT!
