Just so you know F&F6 certainly isn't the best in the series but it may be the most important one as it really sets in place what it's going to be going forward. The "family" firmly stops being outlaws, at least when it comes to man's laws, but its also where they entirely stop adhering to the laws of gravity and the laws of mortality. It's also the last Tokyo Drift prequel, allowing the series to be chronological going forward. Make sure to keep watching for the mid-credits scene.

PhantomKnightPhantom of the ParadisePersonaMy Darling ClementineShort CutsSweet Smell of SuccessHigh and LowAnd the bonus recommendation if you're feeling gutsy: Sid and NancyIanTheCool watched this because I brought up on the podcast and hated it. Doomsday watched it for an upcoming episode of the podcast and certainly didn't love it. Given its portrait of violent drug abuse and self-destruction there's a very good chance this is not your cup of tea, though to be fair it does lack the comedic elements of Trainspotting, Fear and Loathing, or The Wolf of Wall Street so it might not rub you wrong the way they did. It's just relentlessly bleak. But goddamn it, I thought this movie ruled so I will keep waving its flag despite all evidence that I should stop forcing my friends to watch it. Lemme know if you need more picks.

Re: Sid and Nancy...knowing how my tastes have evolved regarding movies about people on drugs, I think I'll respectfully take a pass on that one. Even if it's more dramatic, I'm not too sure.
So, my top two choices are Short Cuts or Persona. Persona is readily available on Max, but Short Cuts apparently isn't streaming anywhere. My only option there would be to blind buy the Criterion, it looks like, though I have gravitated a bit toward Altman in the past, so my odds there seem encouraging. I'm still weighing my options, though I could just as easily go with one of the others.

Happy to give you some bonus picks if you need em. Short Cuts rules but blindbuying Criterions is an expensive habit. Persona is must-see but I get if you want some flexibility.

But seriously, I'm making a note to myself about Short Cuts.

It's also a bummer blind buying from Criterion 2 days after a 50% off sale.

Hmmmm, let's throw in some of your blind spots Call Me By Your Name Grave of the Fireflies Once Upon a Time in the West And an extra bonus: Superbad. I know you've had your disagreements with this comedy troupe. This is the best movie from that group and lacks a lot of the more overt grossout stuff.

Okay, I think I might go either Persona (I'm legit pretty curious about this one, all said) or Once Upon a Time in the West. Or, who knows, I just might surprise you with my ultimate choice...
Thanks!

Pretty restrained as far as these things go. As long as there's nothing like somebody getting their penis literally shot off and then picking it up in their mouth, a la 21 Jump Street.

All this time....you could've corrected this. With MovieBuff801, it’s best to assume he hasn’t seen anything. Next time recommend Citizen Kane, Godfather and stuff like that.

All this time....you could've corrected this. It doesn't look like it's streaming for free. Tell you what, you pick that and I'll give you my Vudu password so you can check it out.
