Just saw there were two sold out showings at the big Chinese theater with Scorsese in person doing a Q&A. No idea when those ones went on sale but I'm pissed I missed out. got his tickets. Bastard probably bought 80 of them. |

I don't doubt this is selling out in the cultural cities of the USA but it's struggling to get any sort of audience out here in the burgh. Maybe a quarter full seats on opening night liemax. Could be they are hoping for Dolby with the good seats but sure seems like it's just not being advertised effectively.
Whoops just checked - swift carries Dolby this week so it's terrible seats for us this weekend.

Just checked the theater I'm going to on Thursday. There are a grand total of 3 seats sold. 9 in my showing, not counting my partner and I. 11 in the other theater's Thursday night showing. Personally that's a pretty good turn out here, especially this early. |

I seriously can't say for sure when I can see this. I normally do weekend matinees, but one of my best friends is getting married in Vegas on Saturday and livestreaming the ceremony at 6 p.m., which I absolutely want to be there for. If there's an early enough showing that day, I'll do it, but MAYBE Sunday if the times work out. If this thing wasn't 3 1/2 hours, it'd be easier to coordinate...

Can't they just record the stream and you can watch it later?
I mean it's honestly their fault for a destination wedding. Weddings are only fun with open bars and a fun dance floor, plus cookie table and solid meal of course.
Watching the ceremony... I mean kill me.

Can't they just record the stream and you can watch it later? They're the type of friend worthy of watching it live, though. One of my closest friends, in fact, so yeah, I want to be there live. They initially said they would've been fine just doing a courthouse thing, but the family wanted a ceremony.
But as long as there's anything in the 12:00-2:00 window for showtimes, at the latest, I should be good.

Yea they did squeeze a 430 showing in during the week - might be the ticket. But a 7pm Sunday start is a no go for pregnant partner. She can barely make it to 10pm. Midnight is out of the question.
