Do they have example maps of what the theater will look like with the limited seating?

AMC just emailed A-list members about their plans to re-open in just. Email included this paragraph... I hope it's not bullshit:

That's pretty much exactly what I expected to happen. Eventually, things are going to get back to normal, even if it's a new normal. People like going to movie theaters. It's not the same as watching from home, even if you've got an 85" TV. The demand is going to be there, and investors know it. AMC has more theaters than anyone else. Even if they hadn't been bailed out by investors, other investors would have swooped in and bought up the theaters.

Newsom is requiring us in California to wear them, and honestly even if he hadn't I'd still wear one to the theater and would hope everyone around me, who are just sitting there breathing, are doing the same.

If Massachusetts requires masks in theaters and distancing in seating, I may consider going depending on the distancing.
But probably not going for a bit.

I'm going for Tenet. After that, I ain't risking my life for awhile. The next "big movie" after Tenet is Bill & Ted on August 14. Then Antebellum on the 21st and New Mutants on the 28th. Quiet Place II on September 4th. King's Man on the 18th and Candyman on the 25th. Wonder Woman on October 2nd. French Dispatch and Halloween Kills on the 16th. Black Widow on November 6. No Time To Die and Pixar's Soul on the 20th. And of course in December is Doomsday's Free Guy and your movie Coming 2 America. Plus, West Side Story and Top Gun. But... let's see if we make it that far. We haven't even gotten out of the first wave and are already seeing spikes. Imagine during the winter during Flu Season. Baby steps, I guess. First Tenet. Then we'll see from there.

Tenet and Bill & Ted I'll go see.
New Mutants would be safe... because ain't nobody gonna be in the theater BOOM!
Wonder Woman, French Dispatch, Black Widow, and No Time to Die are musts for me.
I'm gonna go to the premiere for Coming 2 America if it happens. If not, guess I gotta brave the rona elements.

I'm gonna go to the premiere for Coming 2 America Hot Shot over here. Eh, a lot of people that worked on the film will be there. I got to go to the Dolemite premiere. That was pretty sweet. Snoop Dogg and Chris Kattan smoked weed together at the afterparty. Good stuff.

30%capacity but doesn't sound like they are enforcing distancing when selecting a seat. Alas my Dolby row is off the beaten path but I think I'll get very nervous inside the theater when the time comes.
Could cancel a list for a few months until some shit shakes out one way or another.
Would def prefer if they required masks but half their customers are willful idiots anyway.

Tenent, I can see, being a MAJOR pain in the ass. But... New Mutants... for example... let's be real, that auditorium is gonna be empty. You'll be the only one there.

What’s shitty is that a lot of folks I worked with went to the Mandalorian AND Rise of Skywalker premieres. I mean what the hell? But I did go to the Ready Player One premiere, that was pretty awesome, my wife and I got a pic with Christopher Lloyd in the background.

I'd feel more at ease if AMC was requiring masks. I mean, Tenet is most likely going to be in the vicinity of 2 1/2 hours, plus all the previews beforehand. So, we're talking roughly 3 hours in a confined space with people who won't all be wearing masks, some of which will probably be munching away on snacks as well.
I'm sure as shit wearing a mask, but I'm just worried about the other idiots who won't be.

Truth be told, wearing a mask for the entirety of a feature length movie sounds decidedly not fun to me. I wear glasses that get fogged up a lot whenever I wear one. I can grit and bear it for the twenty minutes it takes me to grocery shop but a 3 hour movie... I don't know. Frankly I feel like being in a confined theater at all is the real risk here, if you're going to do something stupid it seems a bit silly to act like a bit of fabric over your mouth is going to make it that much safer.
