Five episodes in as well. Much like Doom Patrol, it's a very welcome breath of fresh air for superhero TV.

Just finished season one last night. Great watch. Loved the characters and the show's take on the superhero genre. Homelander gets my vote for villain of the year.
If I had a gripe, it would be for The Deep's side story. To elaborate more would be to give spoilers. Maybe I'll get into the subject later.

My wife and I were in Sandusky recently. There really isn't anything to do there other than Cedar Point.

Alright, I finished last night.
Karl Urban and Elizabeth Shue are great.
Of the unknowns, Frenchie and The Deep captured my attention the most. I liked that they kept it short at I episodes, but wouldve liked more of a finale or season ending to a few more of the storylines rather than the one we got.

Again, The Deep's storyline is the only part of the series I had an issue with. He starts out as a vile antagonist, then becomes pretty much a joke the remainder of the season, a harmless joke. If by shaving his head at the end of the season foreshadows that he's gonna become a secondary big bad in season two, it'll be hard to take him serious after the clown season one made him into. On the other hand, if the downward spiral he experienced sets him into a road of redemption, what he did is still really hard to forgive. I see myself supporting a Homelander redemption before I'd like to see The Deep redeemed, even though that's a longshot. I don't know, these days I guess I see murder as a more forgivable offense than rape, at least in the context of this series. I guess my issue is that he's somewhat likable now, and he shouldn't be, in my opinion. Plus, his scenes always seemed like they were badly edited and cut away from to quickly. I dunno. Maybe a back story would help. Maybe its not that big a deal. I agree, Urban and Shue were great, the whole cast was great. I really thought the guy who plays Homelander knocked it out of the park. Looking forward to season 2.

Why is it called The Boys? That's Karl Urban's superhero-murdering team. They got some govt agency ties themselves. Boys = CIA outside the show.
