Yeah Mystery Science Theater - CS! Style: The Mockening.
(We can warm up by watching Attack of the Killer Tomatoes first and mock George Clooney)

The Exorcist - Probably the best horror movie I've seen. First time I watched it was Halloween night in theater (when they did the re-release). It was awesome. 10/10
The Shining - Meticulously crafted. Falls into the category of I appreciate more than love. 8/10
The Sixth Sense - A great thriller with a great ending, even though people like to pick it apart and tear it down now. I still think it is well-acted and well-shot, providing an overall spooky atmosphere. 9/10

New set. Again, if conversation on a current set has reached a lull, anyone should feel free to throw up three more.
1. Who Framed Roger Rabbit
2. In The Loop
3. Midnight Cowboy

Roger Rabbit - I just watched this one not too long ago. Its awesome. Its a movie that could only have been successful in its own time and place, and it came together amazingly. 10/10
In the Loop - Hilarious. Chalk full of great lines."At the end of a war, you need some soldiers left really, or it looks like you've lost." 9/10
Midnight Cowboy - I don't care for it. 5/10

Who Framed Roger Rabbit: Never seen
In the Loop: Brilliant satire, hilarious and biting. ****
Midnight Cowboy: An important movie with a brilliant performance by Dustin Hoffman. Probably the most challenging and "out there" movie to ever win Best Picture, also a very interesting document of how messed up New York was in the late 60s. Not necessarily the most accessible movie for modern audiences, but in its context it's quite an accomplishment. ****

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?: Liked it as a kid, but I haven't seen it since.
In the Loop: One of the best comedies of the decade and one of my favourites of all time. I love it. A+
Midnight Cowboy: I greatly respect the film for its boldness and for the acting, but it's easier respected than enjoyed. Will likely rewatch at some point. B+

Who Framed Roger Rabbit: Pretty awesome, and definitely holds up. The story plays out with lots of energy and the humor is nicely done, as are the special effects.
***1/2 /****
In The Loop: Hilarious all the way through. One of the best modern comedies in years.
****/****
Midnight Cowboy: Dark, dreary, but ultimately effective. This is an example of a well-executed character-driven film based around interactions more so than plot. Hoffman and Voight are fantastic.
***1/2 /****
New set up later tonight, probably.

In the Heat of the Night: The social/racial elements of this film are definately interesting and there's some very good acting in it, but I never found the central case/mystery all that compelling and the filmmaking is only adequet. As such I think it's a couple ingredients short of a classic. Still definately a solid movie. ***1/2
X-Men: It's seen as the beginning of the recent superhero boom, but I think it feels more like the last movie of the Burton Batman/Donner Superman era of superhero filmmaking. A fun movie for what it is and definately has its moments, but it compromises in ways that future comic book movies wouldn't and as a blockbuster it feels kind of small and cheap. ***
The Naked Gun: From the files of Police Squad!: Have not seen in its entriety N/A

1. In the Heat of the Night: Good movie, but I haven't seen it recently enough to elaborate beyond that.
2. X-Men: It's not perfect, but Singer does a great job amking the film and world really believable. Honestly this is a clear precursor to what Nolan would do with Batman, at least in regards to making a superhero movie feel semi-real. The trio of Jackamn/McKellen/Stewart are perfect and I love the final scene. B+
3. The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!: It doesn't offer much outside of the laughs, but I find it extremely funny. A-

In The Heat of the Night
This is a good, solid detective story, but ultimately not much more than that. Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger both give strong performances and seeing these two characters frequently clash makes for some interesting scenes, but the way the film handles the racial tensions present in the plot feels pretty standard, especially in comparison with stronger films of that ilk. The central murder case has its moments, but a lot of it feels like the standard kind of stuff you're likely to see on any network T.V. police procedural. I just don't feel like there's much more to say; good, but not great.
***/****
X-Men
It gets the job done and holds your attention as well as features some strong scenes, but it never really excels and is mostly just good.
***/****
The Naked Gun
Now, THIS is a damn funny movie. After seeing so many new comedies that fail to be so, it's so refreshing to go back and see one that doesn't have to try so hard to get the laughs. The Naked Gun is also a prime example of spoof comedy at its finest. It's almost a laugh-a-second movie, as opposed to a laugh-a-minute one. Both the regular jokes and sight gags work equally well. Most of all, though, Leslie Nielsen plays it JUST right. One of the key factors to comedies like this is that the actors have to behave like they're not in a comedy, and that's exactly what Nielsen does throughout. There were maybe one or two sequences that I thought went on too long or weren't as funny as the rest, but other than that, The Naked Gun is a VERY funny movie.

Green Zone: I remember liking it a lot and thinking it worked better for me as an Iraq action movie than The Hurt Locker did, but I haven't revisited it and don't know if it holds up. ***1/2
Field of Dreams: I don't really get the appeal of it. Its story is strange and it abuses magical realism to schmaltzy ends. **
Bad Boys (1995): While Bad Boys 2 is a transcendently stupid bit of excessiveness, the original is just kind of dull to me. Teaming up Martin Lawrence and Will Smith was a good idea and Bay shoots it pretty well, but the central case is boring, there aren't that many memorable action scenes really, and it doesn't have the over-the-top nuttiness of the sequel. **1/2

My first two answers are pretty much identical to Dracula.
As for Bad Boys, I don't remember.

Green Zone: Solid action film that I hope to revisit. B+
Field of Dreams: It's a cute, breezy watch and I enjoy James Earl Jones. But it's so emotionally manipulative and hammy it's hard to really get behind. C+
Bad Boys (1995): Obnoxious, with grating humour and a boring story. The action scenes are solid and Bay gives the film an appropriate "cool" look, but this film is still stupid. D+

Green Zone - C
Nothing memorable, nor particularly noteworthy.
Field of Dreams - C-
Not a fan...at all. It's waaaay too sentimental for my liking.
Bad Boys - D
I don't remember much. Like Drac said, the case isn't interesting, despite the pairing being solid.

Never seen Green Zone.
Field of Dreams is a classic. Moving, funny and feel-good. This is from a man who has never even seen a game of baseball. 9/10
Bad Boys - loved it a lot in my teens, didn't hold up as well as I thought it would when I last watched it a few years back. Great chemistry saves it, plus the usual bombastic Bay action. 7.5/10

Field of dreams - pointless and stupid - feels like Shaymalamadingdong wrote it.
Bad boys - The Esai Morales/Sean Penn version or the Martin Lawrence/Will Smith one? Kind of liked both
