Sleeves are cool if they're coordinated and not so random. I've seen too many that looked like shit because it wasn't planned out and looked like an afterthought

I've had two and spent a solid four hours having them done and I can tell you that there was zero pleasure involved... Worth it though.

In honor of Home Improvement's 25th anniversary
Call me crazy, but I think Home Improvement is one of the few long-running shows that was consistently good throughout its entire run. I know people say it got bad when the kids got older, but who the fuck was watching the show for the damn kids? Plus, I think the kids getting older might have actually made the show better since each kid got a distinct personality and their own individual storylines. It gave Tim more stuff to respond to and kept the show fresh.

That's one reason it took me so long to get one, I was afraid once I got it I would immediately regret it. I'm a very indecisive person, but something with this much meaning behind I didnt mind.

That's what I remind everybody when they plan on getting their first tattoo. Make sure it's something you won't regret later. It's also why it took me forever to get more.

Keeping a job in this country that pays decent has become out of whack, I mean I use to work 8 hours a day... But now it's not enough... I have to stay late when they need to or work from home. Your whole life is work now, if you want to have a family that's great, but don't expect to stay home and be with them. They should be happy that you are paying the bills, Like I miss my friends and I need to be home at times too. I barely have time to myself or let alone time enough to sleep and rest.
It's like all I hear now is "Your lucky to have a job, because of this recession count yourself one of the lucky ones, stay quite and do what your told be a robot for us."
No that's not what this country was found on, it was on morals, and freedom, and family and making a decent wage and having healthy time for work and family... SOrry for the rant... I guess i'm just exhausted from all of this... I don't think this is the way we are called to live our lives... Maybe I didn't know what I was signing up for.

I know I'm fortunate for the job I have, but I'm constantly there 2 to 3 extra hours a day, hours which I don't get paid extra for, and working from home a few hours each day on weekends as well. I finally forced myself to stop working from home, but my weekdays I just mentally write off. I've really been thinking about getting into real estate and working for myself, I refuse to continue living like this.

Making ends meet is more difficult than it should be. That's why I wish it was Sanders who won the primary, but South Park nailed it.
In the current election we have a choice between a Giant Douche or a Turd Sandwich So I don't expect things are about to change much.

If not it's totally illegal for them to not pay your overtime.

You can work 1 hour or 10 hours and get paid the same. I wouldn't complain unless the numbers weren't really adding up. If I'm working 50 or 60 hours a week and getting paid the equivalent of minimum wage, then yeah, I'd be pissed.

Salary is nice in the sense that it is guaranteed money, but it's also a corporate trick to getting more labor out of someone for an empty title.

So I knew they weren't just flavour of the month dealios.

Salary is nice in the sense that it is guaranteed money, but it's also a corporate trick to getting more labor out of someone for an empty title. It really depends on the job and the employee. If you can do 8 hours of work in 4 hours and get paid the same, more power to you. But if you're doing 10 hours of work and getting paid as if it were 8 hours, then it's time to look for another job. It all depends on the person. I know people who left management positions because getting paid hourly was better for them. In contrast, there are salaried employees who don't need to milk the clock and can get shit done quickly and go home. Then there are the jobs where it makes no difference. You gotta do x-number of hours everyday. There, again, you gotta do the math and see if it's a fair paycheck or if they're taking advantage of you.

If I'm working 50 or 60 hours a week and getting paid the equivalent of minimum wage, then yeah, I'd be pissed. Yeah, I'm salary, and the pay is good, including quarterly bonuses. The problem is the company has been downsizing in the past year, which means more work to get done for most. The normal workday is 8:30 to 5:30, but I seriously don't get home until 8 or 9pm some nights. I'd gladly get take a pay reduction to spend more time with my wife, as well of tackle that growing backlog of Xbox games I haven't had time to touch. The problem is the cost of living in Southern California is so high, I really don't have that option right now. And being one of the few non-Mandarin speakers in a Taiwanese owned company, my future there is never certain, so I try to give it my all, and that's what's kept me there this long. But it shouldn't have to be like that. I'm at the age of my life where I need to make a change, and value the time with my wife and start working on a family. We recently visited Portland, and are seriously considering moving there within the next 2 years. It's perfect for us. Coastal city, no sales tax, great metro system, no traffic, hip, but friendly environment, and surrounded by natural beauty. Plus, the cost of living is much better. I think real estate would be a good fit for me as I have a strong background in sales and marketing, and Portland seems like it's a city that's about to blow up even more, with so much to offer. Plus, in only a few years, it's the only job where I can be my own boss after getting my brokerage license and bring on some talent. I guess we'll see. I'm not getting any younger...

I started applying for other jobs... Here's hoping I can get out of this hell hole, and get some balance again in my life. More importantly, I'm learning getting paid a bit less for a more stable life, is more important then making money and being depressed...

Lady Gaga is performing at the Super Bowl. I'm sure this will be received entirely with enthusiasm by the NFL's fanbase and that the performance will occur without any controversy.
