Seems wrong to have this thread and not have it started by Rogue.

Maybe I should try and actually participate in threads like this this time around instead of sequestering myself away in movie specific threads like I used to.

Maybe out of respect it should be called Whats On Your Mind The Sequel. So it doesn't seem so much like the original.

On another note: I'm putting together some new blog posts for my new freelance job and I'd like some recommendations.
I'm putting together a list of the most messed up horror films to watch this Halloween season. I already have a few in mind but I'd love to hear some ideas from you guys. Not fun gory jump scares, but movies that legitimately will mess with your mind and make you lose sleep at night. I want to have an existential crisis here lol

2007
So many fights with Dracula.
So many.
The horror.
I can't save it all.
I'll definitely save Planet Terror vs Death Proof. That one is a classic.
But I think everything else has to go.
Oh well.

The Devil's Rejects is fucked up, but not very good.
Try Possession, anything by Takashi Miike.

I think the Walken Prophecy Movies were good but those were more boo movies then AHHHH ones.

First post here. I remember the first time I checked who started the What's On Your Mind Thread... Feels so weird that its starting all over again.
I'm liking the new digs and plan on being more involved than I was in the past.

The Ring freaked my friends out pretty good. I'd also throw Suspira and The Descent into the mix.

Suspiria is so great. I saw it last year for the first time on the big screen after a live Goblin performance. Out of all the movies that utilized Technicolor the best, I'd say along with The Red Shoes, Suspiria is definitely in my top 5. I mean seriously, look at The Red Shoes and tell me how that was released in 1948. Also got a pretty great poster at that screening: If you want some more Argento also check out Deep Red, which also features a great Goblin soundtrack:

That and Tenebre are my favourites. Don't know if I'd personally put it on my most messed up list though. I was too in awe of how pretty every shot was to truly get freaked out. But damn Argento can make a movie.
