So, I'm job searching, and what do I find? A listing for my old job. Its like a swift kick in the nuts.

The staff is probably already upset about losing you and a crew member getting your job is gonna raise suspicion and animosity. Hiring an outsider is probably the wise thing to do. I know that wasn't the point of your post. I'm just saying...

Actually, I was the Maintenance Manager. I oversaw the care and feeding of the building, the grounds, and all of the equipment therein. I had a lot of big projects coming up that I already had vendors scheduled to come in and take care of. Of course, I was the only one that knew all of the logistics about a majority of these projects...so, they're just screwed.
Usually, Target tries to promote from within. Generally, they're required to post the job publicly, so you'll sometimes see a job posted that they already have filled, or have someone in mind to take the position. And considering how few people have really seem to acknowledge that I'm gone, I wonder how many of the people that worked with for so many years really seem to give a shit.

What do you love? Movies? Midgets? Whatever it is, there are jobs out there begging for people who give as much of a shit as you do.
You will find something, Frizzo, and it will be the best thing you ever did.
Sorry I can't offer any more advice, I just know that if you don't give up, you will land on your feet.
Keep us in the loop.

The NFL needs more players who wear neck rolls.
While we're at it, bring back the Great Gazoo concussion helmets.

Hmmmm a couple of weeks ago a guy two blocks from here went nuts and sledgehammered a hole to the next apartment over and was flipping out about imaginary people and creatures that he was going to throw real Molotov cocktails at.
The police blocked off the street and evacuated the buildings nearby, and eventually got him out and to the hospital without further incident.
Now last night we had a severe thunderstorm, and at 4am, there was a loud thunder strike that shook the building and split a tree next to other side of the building. Half of it fell into the parking lot, while the other half kind of dangled over the east wing.
That half had to be evacuated until the tree people could come and take it down safety. It also took out our internet and TV for the day.
That was the worst most active lightening I've seen in decades.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers this past week, it's been pretty rough.
On a lighter note I went and got my first tattoo yesterday. That was a pretty cool experience that I will more than likely be doing again in the near future.

I thought I was done with tattoos after I got my last one, but after a few years I don't know if that's true anymore.

The day my sister passed the emt that was working on her left the ekg paper in her house, that is one of the last beats that her heart made. My other sister has the other half of it tatted on her ribcage. At the very end of it is a semi colon, which is used to represent mental health prolems, addiction etc, things that my sister struggled with as well as myself. A little bit better pic, it's on my left forearm.

I only had one tattoo for the longest time. Then I pretty much got my second and third one back to back during and after my divorce. After that I got a half sleeve and last year I got my calf done. I still debate on what I'm going to get next.
