What's on Your Mind: A New Journey

Same here. I don't have a newspaper at my new apartment so I didn't see it coming.

Oh man, I haven't had a dizzy spell in a long time. This morning I went down stairs to mail stuff and sign up to go to the animal shelter to sit with cats again.
Then I went to the office and tried to sign up for a re-certification time and got dizzy and almost blacked out - I twisted my upper body and raised my left hand to the wall and my signature got really shaky, my ears were ringing and my vision started getting wonky.

My hands are still shaking and my back hurts a bit - it's my pinched nerves when I get in to certin positions.

I feel your pain. My 1 hour transfer in Istanbul turned into a 7hour transfer. Fortunately they gave us an unlimited supply of free alcohol and food to compensate but still....I missed all my Friday night seoul plans. Fucks.

My last legal tie to the state of Colorado has official been severed.

Yay I suppose. It's neither bad or good....just interesting. It's were I lived the longest of all the places I've been. And now the last piece of credential that placed me there is gone.

I get that I'm digging into politics, but there isn't any excuse for happened to Jean McVonville.

So, my family's indoor cat got loose and ran away this past Saturday night, and he's still missing. There was a possible sighting of him Monday night in a neighborhood a few miles away, but we're still not completely sure if it was him or not; it could just as well have been another orange tabby cat. I just want to find him, or for him to come back; he's the best cat we've ever had and it kills me to think that our time with him could end so suddenly and we'd never see him again. We have his food laid out on the front and back porch, and his litterbox sitting out on the back -- apparently, cats can pick up their own scent from that if they're close enough. We've got flyers out, and I really hope they help; I want this little guy back.

No, but he DOES have a microchip implanted in him, so if he's found by someone else and taken into an animal shelter, that can be scanned and we'd be alerted. I'll tell you what, though: when -- yes, WHEN, because I'm choosing to stay positive about this -- we get him back, he'll be wearing a collar from now on.

I'm in the throws of a bachelor party in New Orleans and there's been a 30+ minute conversation on how shitty Interstellar is. Oooof!!

Sounds like a lousy bachelor's party if a movie is the topic of conversation.
