It feels so good to finish a project! My first shawl is complete ( imgur.com/TtjvdJa). Up next I'm going to continue working on an afghan for myself and when I need a break from that I'll work on smaller blankets to donate to the ASPCA. I don't know if anyone else has crafting hobbies like I do, and I want to make a thread dedicated to arts and crafts so I'm not clogging this thread with posts about my crocheting and knitting. If I started a new thread I know that it would be seen more in "CS! Community", but would it fit better in "Creative Corner"? |

Fire alarm at 6am = one rude awakening.
You'd think the fire department would turn off the alarm when they get here and find out some dumbass tossed something down the garbage chute that triggered the Sprinklers in that one room - but nooooooooooooooo! I had to sit up here on the third floor listening to that damn thing blare until 7am

Work was crap today, resulting in the whole day being a crap day. On the drive home, I deconstructed the shitty events of the day in my mind and reformed them with solutions so I could at least have an optimistic outlook at the end of it all. So I pretty much pulled myself together, without ever really visibly coming undone, but I need a drink. Thank goodness there's a bar downstairs.
