I just realized that both guys that play Quicksilver played friends in Kick-Ass. Am I late on this? 0_0 holy crap that never occurred to me. Life update: So on the bright side of my life: got my first tattoo ever last week. Things are going pretty stellar in my life and my friend is a tattoo apprentice (meaning free tattoos) so one thing led to another. She wanted to do realism so I got a big rose on my ribcage (yes, I got a flower, don't knock it I love roses  ) Ribcage might have been a bit of a jump though for my first time. Everything was peachy until two hours in and then I was ready to tap out. The girl is so talented it makes me sick. Her first realism/shading tattoo ever and it looks unfriggenreal...maybe I'll post a photo if I can figure out how to bend that way. And on the downer side: my nana was diagnosed with breast cancer the day after and had a mastectomy today. Thinking positive again: two hours out of surgery and the woman is clear as a bell. She's telling everybody not to fuss over her. No painkillers. Just peachy. Ate a full meal. Bored out of her mind. Apologized to my papa because she's coming home tomorrow and his fun time is over. She offered to cook us a turkey dinner tomorrow which we will literally have to restrain her from doing. My grandmother is a warrior. |

Take a mirror picture it will work better if you are showing off a ribcage tattoo. I'm looking at getting my eigth tattoo when I get back.

You would think that at some point you'd be embarrassed that you have to be reminded to pay your bills. After so many attempts to place an order only to be told "please pay your overdue invoices first" SOMEBODY would step in and ask the accounting department to do their job.

Thought I'd share this... worst passed out drunk story that I've heard from my work. It's terrible bad luck.
So the guy passed out and hit his head off the sink, hit it hard enough that he was out for about 18 hours + intoxicated. The way he was propped up while unconscious, it turns out, cut blood off to his legs and long story short, had to have both legs amputated.

Ugh. I got a DWI a couple years ago, and hearing stories like that in the court mandated AA as well as the situation itself made me change my behavior fast.
I'm lucky I didn't kill someone. I honestly cringe when Jibbs or someone else brings up my old drunken AIM conversations.
Now is AA for me ? No. I still like to drink, but I certainly no longer drive after drinking, and I don't drink to that extent anymore.

I'd been contemplating it for a good 8 or 9 years but never had the chance to go to a decent tattooist to get it done properly (it's a bit of a fiddly design) and I couldn't really afford it anyway. Now I'm in London I'm fortunate enough to be able to do both. It came out really well. I think I'll get 2 or 3 more (smallish ones) over the next year or so. You should post yours as the inaugural pic in a new Frizzo Photo Album. PS: Your nana kicks ass. |
