Nic Cage has made much worse movies than that. But those are my favorites! Exactly. I love me some bad movies. That's the problem with National Treasure. It's not particularly good, and it's not interestingly bad. It's just unremarkable. I've been meaning to rewatch Battlestar Galactica, but I'm not feeling it at the moment. I've got in on bluray anyway, so I don't have to worry about it leaving free streaming. For anyone whose never seen it though, I urge you to check it out. Don't just watch the mini-series and decide it's not for you, either. That's only the set-up. If, after watching the first two episodes you still aren't feeling it, you never will.

I actually do have an itch to watch Galactica again. I want to cross some other stuff off the list first though. Plus a friend borrowed my season two copies and never returned them. I need to hound them for them.
Hot take: I like Caprica a lot too. ::runs away::

Never saw B5. It's one of those space shows that I probably should have watched but always eluded me for whatever reason, like Andromeda or Farscape.
But I liked every Galactica series, except Galactica 1980. There aren't enough words in the dictionary to say "No thank you" to that show.

I am under no delusion that it would "hold up," at least from a technical perspective. Farscape is pretty rad though.

That's amazing. Terrible, yet amazing. But the effect is really shitty, looks like bad hair extensions. But the effort is amazing.

I just found a free service on my bluray player called Tubi. It is full of a lot of straight to video junk, but there's some decent stuff hidden in there.

Has anyone checked out the sxsw selections on Amazon? Available now through next week.
Couple episodes of cursed films, some docs, foreign flicks, etc. Curious what's worth watching.
Also like d+ HBO max offering new customers a locked in rate of 12 bucks a month for a year instead of the 15. Just Google real quick and you'll find the promo.

Good, theirs was the worst by far. Does this mean I can finally look at an entire catalogue of what movies they offer instead of having to sift through their stupid pre-made categories and see what pops up?

Amazon is way worse Amazon's is bad, but at least I can see what they carry and their menu isn't a total disaster. Sifting through Hulu is just awful. And they have commercials, so yeah, Hulu is just awful I hate them as a streamer. Amazon surprisingly has some fantastic movie selections for people like us. A lot of foreign and classic films, including obscure ones from great directors. Their interface is bland and the video player is awful, but I give them more of a pass because their content is so strong for cinephiles. If I can't just browse all the movies/shows a platform offers while on the app, that's a problem. Hulu feels like streaming for dummies where they're going to help indecisive people choose what to watch. I suppose for people that tend to watch whatever's trending on Netflix, it's great. For people like us, fuck that, show me what you got and let me do the choosing.

Amazon is every bit as hard on to browse the entire catalog of and the fact that the catalog is bigger exasperates that problem. And Hulu only has ads if you buy the lame budget plan, who the hell does that?
