I own several thousand movies on dvd and bluray, and yet National Treasure is not one of them. This is not an accident. I've had plenty of opportunities to pick it up for $2, but come on. If it was a choice between National Treasure or The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island, I'd rather watch The Globetrotters play basketball against evil robots than Nic Cage stealing national treasures.

I like National Treasure. It helps that when it came out I'd just come back from an east coast tour of the States and had visited all the cities/landmarks they have shenanigans in/at during the movie.

Yeah, National Treasure is really enjoyable and highly rewatchable. Seems like such an odd movie to be so vehemently against, especially when Nic Cage has made much worse movies than that.

I like National Treasure. I can see how that would make it more appealing. I didn't even dislike the movie. I just found it unremarkable, which is saying something when you consider it's a Nic Cage movie. |
