Sicario 2 looks like it's taking all the stupidest elements of Sicario 1 and running with them. No thank you. We would expect no less from the guy who hated the first Sicario. There was a Jarhead 2?

I mean, the sequel does look pretty shit. Are we seriously hating on a Benicio Del Toro/Josh Brolin action movie? I guess if it goes all in on meatheaded action and couldbe fun. Maybe not the best choice for a movie about the drug war though.

I mean, the sequel does look pretty shit. Based on just a short teaser trailer that barely gives any story info? Based on the tone of the trailer and the general pointlessness of making a sequel to Sicario.

I still agree that it's ultimately a pointless sequel and I'm not exactly defending it...I'm just saying it looks better than it should to me. Let us not forget, though, how deceptive marketing can be sometimes.

No, Wind River doesn’t overtake John Wick. It was a good watch but the ending felt very rushed and was very straightforward, not a whole lot for the audience to figure out. Like most every movie I watched this year and like every movie up for Oscars, it was just pretty good.

Yeah, felt the same way about that movie. In terms of Taylor Sheridan's recent output, for me, it's gone: Sicario > Hell or High Water > Wind River

If there's one thing the guy is great at it's painting a bleak hellscape of a setting for his movies. Mexico, west Texas and now an Indian reservation, yeesh.
