I know as much as you guys do about this one but it's gotta be a step above Boba Fett. Which they're making a second season of apparently?? Including Mando S3, I know of 5 Star Wars shows that are in various stages of development from very early pre-production thru post-production. Neither Boba Fett nor Obi-Wan are on that list. That isn’t to say they won’t be made, there are just a minimum of 5 shows that are coming before them. |

Hopefully this is still good. A little worried after Boba Fett. Mandalorian was best part of Boba Fett. Yes, but the show's quality was still crap. And the Luke part that came from the Mandalorean was the worst part. Probably the worst star wars thing I've ever seen, including Chewie's death fake-out, the space camel farting on Jar Jar, and the neon biker gang. |

Anyone watch the first episode? I know Star Wars fans are the absolute worst but holy lord how are people still into this show? How are the ratings this high? It's so brain-dead.

It's not bad per se, it's just a very shallow show. The opening scene is a bunch of Mandalorians 'baptizing' a young child into their order. Cool, we haven't seen that before. But watch out, here comes a giant alligator out of nowhere to eat some Mandalorians and wreak havoc for no reason other than to have an action scene just for the sake of having an action scene. And that's kind of the gist of the Mandalorian series, it's like they need to meet some explosion quota. And IG-11, we'll bring him back somehow even though he was blown to bits. But Mando insists he resurrect IG-11 because he 'trusts him' even though IG-11 was his enemy about half the time they knew each other. No matter, there are no other droids in the galaxy that will fit the bill, we must bring back IG-11. But hey, we're only one episode in. I'll save final judgement until I'm at least 10 minutes into episode 2.

I had reservations after season 1. Season 2 got closer to the cliff but at least they ended it on an interesting note. Boba Fett ruined everything and now I'm done being nice.

I haven't watched the season premiere yet. The first two seasons, I liked/enjoyed a good deal, but never got really passionate about. The Book of Boba Fett, though...that was kind of shockingly bad, coming from the same creative team.
