Compromise: Tom Cruise can have film rights, but I get the option to do a new Mission TV series. That's where I want to play.
Also: Someone needs to buy Universal so I can reboot Sliders.

This what I’d do with Paramount — and SnoBorderZero free to steal my ideas. 1. A proper film series of the Last Airbender. I think Netflix is doing a TV series but fuck that. 2. Bring back Popeye and Betty Boop. 3. Relaunch the Road To... film series. With Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet. 4. Reboot Hop-Along Cassidy. Doomsday will be put in charge. 5. And of course, a sequel to the Golden Child. |

Without a theatrical release, Disney doesn’t have to honor backend deals with Pixar. Remember the giant stink when Warner Bros decided to put everything on HBO Max? They had to payoff every A-lister. Who at Pixar is a Hollywood heavyweight? No one. When John Lasseter got MeToo’d, they split his job among two or three people. And Steve Jobs been dead for 10 years. Pixar is fucked. There’s no one to protect them from the hawks at Disney. Unless Jon Favreau wants to take on another foster child. |

Franchise is dead anyways. True, but Predator continues to be in demand for merchandising. Walmart can’t keep their action figures in stock. Same with Aliens. All they ever have in stock is the queen. A cool toy is a cool toy, even if it’s from a movie that’s more than 30 years old. |
