Chrichton books had style.
Right now I'm listening to two books (haven't finished Skin Collector), and reading one.
I finished The Entity by Frank de Felitta. Much more story than the movie.
And I finished Medical Apartheid: The Dark History of Medical Experimentation on Black Americans from Colonial Times to the Present by Harriet Washington. That is a fascinating book about the abuses of medical studies and military biological weaponry experimentation on Blacks and Hispanics in this country. Very shocking to find that the Tuskegee Syphillis Project was just the tip of the iceberg. When I start up my Bottom Feeders thread again you will see what I mean.
Right now I'm trying to listen to the end of One Breath Away by M William Phelps. The story of "Hiccup Girl" and how she went from media darling to life without parole.
And I'm reading Bloody Mary, Book 1 Mary: The Summoning by Hillary Monahan

PKD is one of my favorite writers (made me love reality-bending, science-fiction, and paranoia in literature). Vonnegut is as well.

Just finished Juventus: A History in Black and White by Adam Digby.
Next up is The Rim of Morning: Two Tales of Cosmic Horror by William Sloane. This is a must-read for fans of Lovecraft and weird fiction.

Someone mentioned it a few months back. The $30m budget seems a bit low so I won't be getting my hopes up too much, will check it out once a subtitled version becomes available though!
July release date in China.

Finished listening to To Kill a mockingbird. Wow what a wonderful book. It's too bad she didn't write anything more of her own works during her lifetime . I haven't listened to the other book yet. there was a big controversy over it, being a first draft of Mockingbird, and not really meant for publication.
Anyway, I'd call that one of the best books I've ever heard. Sissy. Spacek did a wonderful job of bringing Harper Lee's town to life.
