I've never seen Love Affair but always meant to. It was among the murderer's row of Best Picture nominees from 1939 alongside Gone With The Wind, Stagecoach, Wizard of Oz, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington and a few others.

Amazon has Blue Is the Warmest Color for 12 bucks right now. I haven't seen any other Criterion discs that low so far, but it might be worth checking there before heading to Barnes & Noble.

 There's already a perfectly serviceable blu-ray for Double Indemnity from Universal and it's not something I'm dying for a 4K upgrade to. They should have left that one to Kino or something. Another dull month from Criterion.

PG CooperI finally watched Dead Ringers a couple days ago, I really enjoyed it. It's uncomfortable but damn can Cronenberg build tension, drama and great characters. This is the second Jeremy Irons movie I've watched over the past few weeks and he just crushes it here. He plays identical twins but gives each one such subtle and nuanced differences you can tell but it's hard to pinpoint how. Elliot for example always has a small smirk and has his shoulders back while Bev is the opposite. I can definitely see how people wouldn't be too turned on by Dead Ringers but I dug it a lot.
