PhantomKnight did you get your Criterion Channel free trial yet? Night of the Living Dead is on there too so you can knock out your film club movie. And Seven Samurai.

Night of the Living Dead is virtually anywhere since it's public domain on a technicality. Criterion would have the best picture though.

I think everyone needs to post their top 15 Criterion movies for PK to watch before his trial expires.

I actually caved a little bit more. Because this week is payweek for me, I went ahead and got Do The Right Thing (the case of which looks like the size of a book) and The Game Criterions, both of which came today. That said, once the B&N sale goes live, I'll still get maybe two more from that.

I've got my short list of things to pick up on Friday when the B&N sale starts. I have a couple gift cards that will cover my purchase and I should have enough left over to another movie when all is said and done. Any of you guys have recommendations that you believe could serve as a good blind buy?

I know for a fact I'll be picking up War of the Worlds and The Cameraman. If I have the money, I'll see if they have the Bruce Lee set too.

It still falls under the sale, doesn't it? I don't think they haven't refused new releases under it, as far as I can remember.

Hard to say, any type of movie you're eyeing? Not necessarily, if you have a few that you really enjoy I can give them a glance to see if they're up my alley. For kicks, here's my collection in case you want to see if there are any I have already. www.criterion.com/collection/5945

Would just like to say that I watched Seven Samurai this afternoon. Currently have a backlog of 13 Letterboxd entries/reviews to input, but I'll just go ahead and say it was pretty great. Bit long in the tooth, but great.

Why do links from this site not work for me anymore? I think your Canadian service provider is protecting you from American Corona.
