It's really cool. You'll see the very obvious scenes that Tarantino ripped off in Kill Bill. What’s the Samurai Trilogy? It's not as great as the elegant title may suggest. I like the first one and the sequels are alright, but they aren't quite as awesome as you'd hope from a samurai trilogy starring Toshiro Mifune. Definitely not on par with Kurosawa. |

The climax of the second film is essentially Musashi vs. eighty men if I remember correctly. I have a sneaking suspicion that Tarantino also didn’t think it was a bad way to end a movie.

Haven't really browsed through the selection yet, to be honest. If you want a fun watch and have some free time go watch Hidden Fortress by Kurosawa. It's the one that George Lucas allegedly cribbed to make Star Wars and there are more than a few apt comparisons. It's really fun, go check it out. |
