Most of the characters only work in their functions they were initially designed for. Boba Fett is one of the most perfect examples. If you're gonna put Boba Fett in another film make him a side character in one. For example, I think it would be kind of neat to see some sort of crime caper set in the Star Wars world and maybe one of the guys on the job is Boba Fett. That could be cool. But a movie about his origins or adventures? Bleh.

I dont think Vader as a central character would work. He works as a villain, not as a protagonist. You're saying the prequels are bad?

I'm confused, doesn't Vader already have three movies?

Truth Be known the most Character people know less about is Kenobi. Im not buying that Obi Wan just sat na Rock waiting for Luke To Become 18 or Seeked Ben Out. Obi Wan and Han Solo Kind kinda makes the most since but Vader would be my favorite one and lets be clear Vader has always been a Side Character. Anakin was in 3 Movies But Sith Vader Most Screen Time was In The Empire Strikes back.

This is just as much canon as Rogue One, and will at least let you know what he's been up to between Sith and A New Hope.

Many of the Collider Star Wars Geeks think that Rey is a Kenobi and which Rey VS Ben is more of a Thing Because it be grandchildren of Ben and Anakin. The question is will family war continue or will Rey and Ren come together too finally heel the Rift between Kenobi and Vader. None of this is anything but Fan gossip because nobody knows anything certain about Rey in episode 8.

Ah, I now read you mean you think she is his granddaugher, not daughter. Makes more sense, but also a little convoluted?

I like the idea Rey is like The Avatar and Rey is Anakin recarnated form and that they Chosen one has a cycle. I doubt its true for its my own theory and no on else's.

The quick version: I liked it. Not quite as much as I do The Force Awakens, but I definitely had a good time with Rogue One. The common complaint about the first half hour being very jumpy and rushed is definitely one I agree with, but once the film settles into its groove, it becomes a fun ride. The film honestly never struck me as anything more than a straightforward chase/heist movie of sorts, but that's all Rogue One really needed to be, and it's what it executes fairly well as. One other criticism I have, though, is that of all the characters in the film, Jynn seems to be the most...blah, in a way, and she's supposed to be the main character. She's surrounded by characters who are all fun and entertaining, some of whom outright walk away with the movie, so her woodenness stands out a lot more. I don't necessarily blame Felicity Jones, though some of her delivery kind of didn't help, but the script, which gives Jynn a sort of base development. The fact that the ending has a certain amount of power to it comes not from her, in that regard, but director Gareth Edwards -- or whoever was in charge of the reshoots. Also, I thought the ending kind of dragged on a bit.
But all in all, I'd say Rogue One is a good, solid movie.

I think Bill Nighy(Underworld)could have played Tarkin without the need for the CGI face-morph.

Guy Henry, the actor who did play him in Rogue One, could have done it without the CGI face as well. Just a little make-up would have been fine.

The obvious solution would have been to do the character's scenes over the phone using one of those blue hologram things.

The obvious solution would have been to do the character's scenes over the phone using one of those blue hologram things. That was plan B. ILM finally revealed how they did the effects. It's facial motion capture. Guy Henry was on set, in costume, and played the role. But they put those dots in his face and later turned it into Peter Cushing. They didn't know if it was gonna work or not cause they're putting a CGI head on a real body and there's all sorts of lighting issues and what not. So the back up was to do the whole hologram thing. Leia wasn't motion capture. That's why it looks like shit compared to Tarkin.

The quality of their faces looked roughly the same to me. I found Tarkin distracting almost every scene he was in. The best thing I can say about Leia's face is that she didn't move or say much in the brief moment, so I didn't find it nearly as jarring.

Does anyone know if the UK got a different name for this movie? When I go to IMDb on my phone it simply calls it Rogue One. If I go to IMDb on my laptop it is called Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. I'm not sure why there is a difference but I'm currently guessing it has something to do with my phone's GPS.
Also, just incase you think I'm crazy, IMDb web calls it The Avengers but IMDb mobile calls it Avengers Assemble and the UK title is Avengers Assemble.

Depends what you consider makes a title official. The in-movie title card just says "Rogue One" but it's being advertised as "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." I'm not sure which title was registered for copywrite. I know that IMDB generally uses the title card as their standard (hence they call the movie Sunset Boulevard "Sunset Blvd") but I don't know why the mobile version would be different.
As for The Avengers. I believe that was officially called "Marvel's The Avengers" in the U.S. order to give it a distinct trademark from the TV show but I'm guessing the title card just says The Avengers. In the U.K. I'm guessing they wanted to distinguish it even further from the TV show.

I consider the title to just be Rogue One.
