Which doesn't even seem to be true. The international trailer has two scenes with Chris Hemsworth in the Ghostbusters uniform. It seems like Sony and Paul Feig are specifically turning this into a gender battle to attract attention - and hopefully - money. For all intents and purposes they're swapping women for men. All the marketing material has three white women and one black woman just like the original gang. Chris Hemsworth is supposed to be the male Janine. Since he's wearing the costume then he's probably a little bit of Louis too.

It seems like Sony and Paul Feig are specifically turning this into a gender battle to attract attention - and hopefully - money. That's Paul Feig's M.O. Bridesmaids was a 'female' response to The Hangover/party movies, The Heat was a female response to buddy cop movies. Spy is, well there ya go. He said in an interview that Ghostbusters wasn't about gender, it was about casting the funniest people he knew...who all happened to be female I guess and make up the exact demographics of the original movie.

You had better not pay to see this movie. I'll be seriously disappointed in anyone that does.

The stereotypical black character is so insulting in so many ways.

Christ, you're going to make me listen to this? I guess so.
First thing he says is how funny Bridesmaids and The Heat are. Doesn't surprise me in the least that Kevin Smith would find those movies funny.

First thing he says is how funny Bridesmaids and The Heat are. I liked Bridesmaids and Spy. The Heat? Garbage. It was a shittier version of Kevin Smith's shitty Cop Out movie.

Actually it was a pretty solid listen. They actually call out the horrible, cliched jokes that were old in the 80s.
Ralph Garman though, he needs his own podcast. I try to catch him on the radio every morning.

I try to catch him on the radio every morning. Yes, that's awful. I don't like that. I don't like the old 80s movie. It was from the past. Now, the future is here. They won't see 80s movie anymore. It's over! I can't agree anymore! I think those people will not be happy about Ghostbusters movie. You can listen the radio to see what exactly he says. You have listen the radio and report it back to me.

It probably will and to that I say who cares? It won't matter nor will it be relevant in the long run.

Here we go with the "sassy black woman" stereotype.

Why did ghostbusters have to have comedian actors. As we well know Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd and Ernie are all actors. While yes two of them did saturday night live. Bill and Dan can do wider range of acting. I dont think you can just call Bill Murray a Comedian for if look back at Ghostbusters it was not a joke fest it had scary scenes for me as a kid. I think Sandra Bullock would have worked as a female ghostbuster. But my major complaint why does it need too be labeled all male or female or color and so on. I would have rebooted it and made Ray a Girl Scientist, Egon and Peter could be a Black Man Being Egon and Peter Could have been white. Winston could have been male and asian 0r any race you wanted. Nothing wrong with mixing all things and doing one movie very good.

Ghostbusters trailer 'most disliked' on YouTube The promo for the new Ghostbusters film has attracted more "dislikes" than any trailer shown on the YouTube website. At time of writing, the trailer for the comedy franchise "reboot" has more than 647,600 "dislikes", compared with about 220,800 "likes".
That puts it 18th in YouTube's list of most disliked videos - higher than any other item of non-music content. The trailer's unusual ratio of views to dislikes suggests a concerted campaign to vote down the video.
According to the ScreenCrush website, "a certain subset of people on the internet... are teaming up to downvote it into oblivion."
Released in July, Ghostbusters sees Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and others take on a franchise previously headlined by male leads. Its director, Paul Feig, recently told The Guardian that disliking the film because it has female stars was "just a non-starter".
Justin Bieber's Baby video is currently unassailable at the top of the YouTube rundown with 6.05 million dislikes. Its nearest competitor, the promo for Rebecca Black's much-mocked Friday single, has just 2.05 million dislikes. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-36191146

Oh, right...it has to just be a "subset", not that the trailer just sucked or the black woman character is a horrible stereotype.

I think the women cast was just wrong because the people believed that this movie had too also have comedic actors. If there were gonna go all female i think this team would have been great women wise Anne Hathaway AS Ray Character. Cameron Diaz as The Peter Vankman Character. Halle Berry As Winston Character Emily Blunt As The Egon Character

I sat through the trailer tonight before Civil War and after it ended a guy at the back yelled: "TERRIBLE".
LOL
30 years of cinema-going and I've never seen that before. Nice work, MOVIE.
