Female Ghostbusters

One day I may make the effort to watch this.

But it is not this day.

Don't bother unless morbid curiosity is your thing.  It really is as bad as people say it is and almost as bad as the trailer makes it out to be.  It's sad that it became such a wedge in the culture wars because it didn't need to be however I think people on the production end wanted to play that angle to make up for the fact that they knew they had a really shitty product on their hands.  It didn't need to be that way if they had just invested the time into making a good movie.  Look at Ocean's 8, it's a perfectly fine movie, nobody really argued over it as far as I know and for the most part I think people enjoyed it.  You didn't have the director and stars coming out insulting people who criticized their film.  

At the end of the day, the anti-Ghostbusters team won.  The movie bombed and regardless of the totally loaded and biased reviews it's pretty well accepted at this point that it's an unfunny piece of shit.  A movie like this would be completely forgotten by now if it weren't for the fact that society waged a war over it for the better part of 2016.  If there's a lesson to be learned though it's this; don't insult the people who pay for the tickets.  They very well may decide not to support your stupid movie.
